My first Hermes - 40cm Clemence Birkin in Rouge H

Congratulations on a gorgeous first Birkin --- you made an excellent and classic choice!! I am also a tall lady and the 40cm. is next on list. It looks wonderful. Enjoy your new beauty.

Ok I am now not so sure this is Clemence. I have had a couple of people ponder over if this was truly Fjord in the past when I met them in person with the bag and I met someone this week who also swore it seemed more like Fjord after handling the bag. After meeting Hummingbird a the boutique once she mentioned how for a 40 in clemence it held its shape remarkably well. This week someone mentioned how heavy and thick the skin was and that it seemed more like Fjord. Any thoughts? Whatever it is I love it and want to consider it for my next one. Here are the original pics I posted but I can take more pics tonight if needed.

Let me just say that I *love* your bag!!

Not a leather expert - but I will say that the only fjord skins I have seen (in swatches or in photos ONLY), the grains have seemed bigger than the grain on your bag.

Maybe yours is an older clemence (because apparently, the skins have changed over the years)?
