Three sentences? Just threee?????
I was busy starting a really long rant about something else and deciding whether or where to post it.

$2.99? Amazing price! Where did you get it, Miss Shimma? :)
If I recall correctly, Shimma didn't buy the actual Monistat brand. She bought CVS's store brand version of the product.
ArmCandyLuvr is correct. And because I buy so many pills, pretty much anything else in the store I want is almost free. This was actually one of the less-disounted items, I think the shelf price is around $10. Most things I get at CVS I pay 5-20% of shelf price.

...We have a WINNER...I'm on the bandwagon...
:yahoo: Amen to that!

...Not oily...
It really isn't. Although it is worth repeating for the oily skinned people who will be trying it for the first time, when you first squeeze it out, it FEELS very oily. Even after you first put it on your face. I waited only about a minute after that before I put on my foundation, and the oily feeling had already left the building.

So don't let that initial sensation fool you, the stuff is really not oily!

i have super oily skin. i just bought makeup base supposed to control oil very well. it got very good reviews from famous Thai websites. Sadly, it just help me a bit. I'm so tempted to try this chafing gel.

I am glad I found this thread, I am usually in handbags!!! I am going to Wal-Mart and purchase this item. I have really oily skin...I hope this works.

Welcome to the Beauty Bar! We rock over here!
Well tPF members rock, period, but we are pretty awesome in here...LOL!

Shimma! How did you multiquote? Mine doesn't work?

My oh my, this thread has grown since I last saw it! You know I went to CVS the following day, spent an hour in there waiting for pictures develop and never ended up getting the chaffing gel! I walked up and down that embarrassing aisle 2 or 3 times quickly looking for it. I wish I saw the pictures in this thread before my search because I may have overlooked it. Thanks for all the reviews ladies! I'll get the guts to buy some today... hopefully

I never knew so many women were so embarassed about buying feminine products :p I have walked around stores plenty of times with a box of tampons in my hand, guess i'm the minority

Anyway I think I may just have to try this stuff out!

^^ lmao me too! I cant count the time I forgot to grab a basket so I had to arm-it through the store. I remember one time having Tampons, Pads, AND Pantyliners in my arms! lol

If you are embarrassed, when you get to the cash register, hold up the chafing gel and say to the clerk, "Do you know that this stuff makes a better makeup primer than that expensive Photofinish stuff?" The clerk and probably some people in line will say "Really?" Then you turn around and nod and say That's right, it is just silicone gel, that is all that is in any of the good ones!"

Now this will make some of the people in line mad because some of the people in front of them will run back to grab some chafing gel, but your embarrassment problem will be solved.

Funny story - I had occasion to be in an adult store yesterday and saw the Pink stuff that someone posted earlier in the thread. I think it's a bigger bottle, but probably the same price as Photofinish ($22.95). Although I don't think Smashbox has a dual purpose. Then again, maybe it does......
