Monistat chafing gel as a face primer?

Ok, after reading all of the rave reviews, my chafing gel is now on its way to me from Amazon. I tried to find some at my Wal-Mart the other day, but couldn't locate any in the store. I was honestly a bit to embarrassed to ask any workers (the pharmacy was closed), because I assumed they would think I wanted it for some reason other than makeup.

I have oily skin too so I'm hopeful this product will help provide some barrier to keep my skin matte and my makeup in place.

I got the CVS clone of course. ;)

When I first squirted some out, I was horrified. It felt like oil! My skin produces enough of that, could it be that my skin has been producing primer all this time and I didn't know?

But I decided to go ahead, and in a few minutes the oil sort of dried to something that was not oil, and my foundation did go on very smoothly over it, and my skin did look more flawless.

That was just a little while ago. I will let you know how it holds up.

Thats all we get? A measly 7 sentences? :p

Let us know how it works, Im excited for another review:yahoo:

^^^ The K-Y people should seriously jump on this! K-Y: Whether you're your making up or making love, we've got you covered!

OK I've been too squeamish to open this thread but dayum this is GENIUS! Nice job, ACL!

Congrats to all who love this...if it's better for oily skin I will pass, plus I need to work through a couple other primers first ;)

 It looks JUST like a primer bottle! And it says PINK! lol. Are you gonna try it?:graucho: haha. Seriously though, if thats all it contains, I dont see how it could be bad for the skin or anything, it might just be worth the try.

TRY IT! TRY IT! TRY IT! haha
I don't think I'll try it considering this Pink Lube costs almost as much as a bottle of Smashbox primer. It sort of defeats the point of trying to find a less costly substitute for expensive primers.

To those who thought my little K-Y slogan was funny: thanks! I noticed that I couldn't multi-quote. I liked that feature! :push:

This is genius! Has anyone tried it under Mineral Make-Up/Bare Minerals? Does it work alright? I've never used a primer before, and at the beginning of reading this thread I thought "nah, this isnt something I will ever use" but as I kept reading and hearing about all the benefits I started thinking "maybe I will use this"! I'd love the hear how it works with Mineral Make up, anyone?

OOOOO the website are currently giving away free samples!! I've sent off for one hopefully it will arrive quickly so i can give you ladies the LO-DOWN.

You have to fill out a little questionaire about yourself and why you want to try the product. I didn't mention i was going to put it on my face lol!!

:roflmfao:LMAO at this. Val, that's hilarious!

Claire, how'd you know??

HAR HAR HAR!

lol.

But, yall gonna flip...

...I remembered something tonight.

I went to this sex toy party like a year ago, and the "host" took out some lube from her bag and said she uses it for primer on her face:nuts:. Wanna know what even CRAZIER??

I already have a review on it because my MIL bought some for under her makeup:nuts:

It looked something like this

and she said she only used it a few times because it made her makeup feel gross. She said it takes forever to dry(I guess thats what its made for, right?), so everything just sort of, slips off.

Claire, how to you like that? huh? HUH!?! :p

I don't use the Monistat, but I do wear mineral make up and use primer. It works great, evens out the skin and also makes the mineral make up stay put. I use the Ulta Professional brand of primer and I've liked it so far- it was only about $12 dollars on sale too.
