Monistat chafing gel as a face primer?

I've been using it since Dec. That little tube will last forever!
I like how it makes my face feel smooth after I apply it. I can say that it does help with my oily skin, and I only need to blot once a day.

Semi-OT, but Walmart takes open Monistat products back???? I'm not easily grossed out, but that's gross! OMG

I can't imagine they re-sell. They probably have some arrangement w/ the distributor, just like for returned makeup at stores. But yeah, the thought of it is odd.

BTW- how have you been Claire? We haven't been on the same threads in awhile! It's good to "see" you!

lol Claire, they dont re-sell it! haha. They take ANYTHING back, including makeup and opened chip bags! Everything is a tax write off, so they couldnt care less.

I used the Chafing Gel today under my makeup, It makes my makeup go on smoother, but I dont really see a difference in my makeup after its applied, does that make sense? Im not sure if Im supposed to or not though.

Also, it does cut down on the oil a LOT, it was 105 degrees today and I only had to blot once, and I was outside a LOT today.

Wow great results! Btw, thank you so much for updating!

I guess we can say that the primer makes your skin feel smoother, makes application easier, definitely helps minimize oil and is much cheaper than Smashbox photo finish and other alternatives.

I am so excited to use this!

Okay, I'll go and buy some tomorrow... but I'm too embarrassed to buy it at my local pharmacy so I'll have to find another store. Thanks for the posts!

lol! Its just chafing gel, not Vagina cream or anything. I dont even know why they would have it near the Vagina stuff.

Maybe I just dont get embarrassed easily:shrugs:

Oh my friend and I were walking around and we stopped by Target to get some candy for a party. She would not go with me to get the Monistat..it's nothing embarrassing. It's for CHAFING..not a vaginal cream, like Queen mentioned. The name sounds weird, but I think it's perfectly fine to buy this.

After poring over the totally inconclusive and wildly opposing views of various primers on Makeup Alley, it was when I posted on here asking for advice that I learned of this, and checking drugstore or some site that had the ingredients, learned that it was, like the more expensive and frequently praised and popular primers, a silicone gel, I have resolved to get me some, probably this weekend.

I will, of course, not fail to recount my experience on here, and probably at excrutiating length.

Im glad you know yourself well! lol. Im excited to read your review, even if it will take me 2 hours to get to the end:p

I know! And really, with all the years we hopefully live, each of us will probably buy our share of Vagisil, yeast infection stuff, condoms, and lots of other stuff that you would not necessarily want to buy with your grandma standing next to you. It's just life!
