So far, so good. This product has workedc, even on my ridiculously oily skin. However, it is very true that you must be sure to wash it off before bed. I fell asleep with it on, and had a bit of a bumpy few days. :smile1:

Thanks again for the tip. You have NO IDEA how long I have been waiting for something like this that actually works!!

^^^ Yes. I use it with powder foundation too! Just let it dry for a few seconds before you put on your powder. In fact, my powder foundation is the last thing I put on because it sweeps away little dots of eyeshadow that have fallen and gives me a more fresh look than when I do foundation first and eyes last!

It's not something that you would need to wear by itself- it is clear and doesn't do anything appearance wise by itself. It basically fills the pores and creates a smooth layer of skin so that the foundation glides on and appears airbrushed. This part it does whether you are oily or dry skinned. But additionally it stops the oil from cutting through to the foundation and so the foundation stays put longer.

I'm still in the experimental stages and wearing it alone smoothes my complexion and fills in little lines. My skin looks more polished and dewy. I also occasionally use it under tinted moisturizer.

I apply my makeup in the same order!! lol thanks so much for the info. I am going to try it!!!

i love monistat chafing gel with bare minerals, though i'm running out & have been itching to try out everyday minerals...

i let the monistat sit on my face for a few minutes, then i apply eyes, face powder foundation & then the concealer in certain spots & then the mineral veil.

when i apply all this at 7am, i don't have to powder til 6pm or even later than that.
i really love this stuff, it's replaced my laura mercier & bare minerals primer.

yesterday, i tried the mariod badescu drying cream as a primer & to double as protectant against blemishes but for me MB drying cream under bare minerals made my face too greasy & makeup cakey looking...

so i'm back to monistat: my shiny rescue hero

i got mine about a couple of months ago after reading this thread but haven't had the guts to try it out to my face yet!! yikes! maybe this will be the week to do it.....
