I ran out and got this last night after reading all the praise on here! It is great! I've been using Smashbox but this is WAY better! I did get a little shiny on my way home from work but my make-up stayed in place. I brushed a little loose powder over my face and it looked as good as it did when I put it on this morning.

I still haven't tried this, but I did put it on my RAOK wishlist! I hardly ever use drugstore makeup anymore, but wanted to list a few things for my buddy. So this is one of them (and the CG mascara in the orange tube that was on Oprah!).

I just wanted to add to my review from earlier!! I put my makeup on before work at around 9 am. I touched up when I got home around 4 or 5 and I didn't touch up again. By the time I took my makeup off at 12:30 am it still didn't look bad!!! I'm using Make Up Forever so it does wear well, but before using this I still had to have some touch ups because of the oil break through that made my makeup rub off.

Thank you so much for sharing with all of us about this!! I really appreciate it!!! I think I'm going to try a different foundation and see how it works with a foundation that isn't long wearing.

If you haven't tried this you need to!!!

UPDATE AND CATCHUP: Dimethicone. That is what you want. It does not have to be Monistat brand. It is NOT intended for va-jay-jays, but for external use on skin that chafes, such as plump, close-set thighs.

I am still totally delighted by it, and should my thighs ever become plump enough to rub together, they will have to get their own tube, because no foundation touches my skin until it is primed with my weird CVS store brand dimethicone substance!

It really does all the things the expensive stuff claims to do, including minimizing tiny lines and wrinkles, and making your skin look flawless.

Since I have been using it, I have actually had people ask me in whispers if I have "had something done."

I noticed that there is Dimethicone in Aveeno. Or maybe it was a word that looked oddly like dimethicone. :shrugs: I'll check again tonight when I use my lotion again.

^^^ A lot of products have dimethicone as an ingredient, but in the stuff we want, dimethicone is THE active ingredient. There has to be lots of it.

Before I discovered this wonderful thing, I would use a hand & body lotion that had dimethicone IN it, but it also had all the usual suspects generally found in hand & body lotions, so while it did a little bit, it was not the dramatic result that you get with chafing gel, so don't be disappointed if your Aveeno does not do too much.
