Hi Everyone,

Re.Mini Rectangle new season release date UK/ paris,

Does anyone know/ heard when the new season release date will be or if there is mini rectangle (black) available anywhere? This will be my first Chanel purchase and I am new to the scene.

Any tips/ advice would be much appreciated.

I reserved a black mini square with one of my NM SAs, but a local SA I’ve just started to engage called last night with a 22C black mini rectangle. I can return within 14 days, so for now I’ve purchased so I can check it out in store and make a determination.

I’m just so torn. I’ve never seen a square in person. For reference, I’m 5’2”, and strap length is my biggest. At these prices, I intend to keep my collection limited, so it’s one or the other. Would appreciate any advice!

I recently got the mini square in black and think it’s the perfect size for me. I’m 5’1 and tried both the square and rectangle before making a decision. Found the rectangle too long for me and felt I had to hold onto the strap when wearing it on my shoulder to make sure it doesn’t fall off. I’m not someone who likes wearing bags cross body so the square was perfect.

The square as a cross body also looks good, not too short. I would suggest going into store and seeing it in person if you can before making a decision.

I would call different stores in the UK to ask them if they know when the next collection will be. If they don’t know they might advise you when to call back to ask again. If they do know, I would ask them if they have ordered the minis as part of their collection as not all stores will have them.

Also, try go into a store and get details of a sales assistant. Some stores will have wish lists for the minis and other stores will be based on first come first serve. It’s good to know which stores have a wish list so you can add yourself on one like I did (got my bag after a month) and the stores which are first come first serve would be best to go into the mornings to get hold of the bag.

I'm 5'2 and I think the length of the rectangular is fine for me. I also found that some rectangulars have a 23 inch drop and some have a 22 inch drop. The 22 sits better on me but 23 is fine too. I think height isn't always the only metric to go off of, since some people have longer torsos so a longer drop would work. It would be best to just try it out and see. Personally I rather have the rectangular since I know it will fit any phone I have.

I returned 22C and now I’m thinking to return 22P rectangular mini. 22P rectangular was 22inch but it was really long on me. I’m 5’2….
I tried to tie strap with ribbons and clip but they became way too short. Only way for me to wear it is get chain shortened by leather surgeon but it might affect resell value.
So yeah I made up my mind and definitely getting square mini instead. I don’t wanna deal with chain length lol Square and rectangular fits almost same

Also just so you know 22c rectangular is flatter quilts and most likely made in France. 22P is shiny and way puffier and made in Italy. People sakes French one felt more delicate

I can only clip on one side because when I tried to do like everyone does it becomes too short.

Best to try them on if you can, also keep in mind which phone you use and if it will fit into the bag! I find the rectangular mini much easier to use. Square requires more maneuvering to fit everything without stuffing the bag.

Just to chip in on the bag clip topic: Both mini rect and square are perfect length for me crossbody, but I still bought a pair of clips from Etsy which is surprisingly good. The quality is good (considering the price), smooth surface (not going to scratch anything) and it does not require a mini screw to open and close!

So if anyone is worried about the length of the strap, but finding the common clip too much hassle to use, this is another option
