My SA offered me a beautiful classic rec mini in light grey/lghw, but I’m so set on yet another black bag…a classic square mini in lghw. It’s the combination of color/strap length for me. I want a mini for the size, but I worry about color transfer. This is where I think the mini top handle can be a relatively worry-free option if you’re looking for a light neutral in this size.
Yes, that’s the color. Though I think I was offered the lambskin. This one is equally beautiful. Enjoy it!

I thought I'd post this since I saw people talking about MIF vs MII and 22c vs 22p.
Left is 22p MII and right is 22c MIF.
Some differences I see:
22p/MII - shinier, darker black, puffier quilts, and has a somewhat more plastic feel. I feel this one is a little more rigid and durable. Strap drop is also 22inches.
22c/MIF - flatter quilts, looks a little more dry (but I don't think it is), feels softer. Overall the whole bag feels smooshier and it also feels like what I would expect the lambskin to feel like (delicate, soft, luxurious). Strap drop is 23inches.
I'm not sure if it's the difference from the seasons or where it's made. I'm inclined to think it's more of a France vs Italy thing since the seasons are right next to each other. I would assume the last bags made for 22c would basically be made right before or at the same time as the bags for start of 22p right?
If you're wondering why I have 2 blacks, it's because I impulse bought the 22c secondhand only for my reserve with my SA to come up at the start of 22p lol. Honestly both are really nice but I'll probably keep the 22p one for the shorter strap drop.

Thank you for this. I also scored 22c and it was so soft and not puffy. I prefer 22P also.
I read somewhere that where it was made won’t really affect the look. That’s the caviar of that season that affects it. The Italians usually have better quality control by miles.

You're welcome! Yes, it does look like the MIF has a straighter flap, though I think this is more obvious in the photo than in real life. The strap drop really threw me off guard as well. But I'm happy to have one with the shorter drop since I'm kind of short. 23inch is ok but 22 sits much better on me. I think both are really nice though and deep down I don't want to let either go LOL.
Hi! So I am really trying to find the black mini rectangle with gold hardware. I’m on a few wait lists but it doesn’t feel like they’re moving. Does anyone know of a better way to try and obtain one sooner? I’ve called a bunch of stores and reached out to my SA says they haven’t had any. Any help appreciated!

You can keep trying to message CS who will forward your request to a store that may have it in stock, but this has never worked for me for something as popular as the black mini. My local SA told me the black minis never hit the floor, they are all sold off the waitlist so even if it shows "in stock" to CS, the store probably already has it reserved for someone. I wasn’t on a waitlist.. and got mine the day of the launch. You have to be at the boutique door first thing first in the morning of the collection launch. So check the dates very well for the upcoming collection. In Paris they don’t do waitlists!! So that is great cause you can just have luck anytime.
You are really lucky to be able to compare both haha I wish minis were easy to get.

I get texts from SAs about mini at least once a week if I’m lucky. From my experience it’s not that hard to score one. You just have to find a right SA.
