My new 22C mini rectangular

They are going for 6000+
Any reason why
Arent they 4300 on chanel website

Are they hard to get in the boutiques?

They are from my local boutique in Thailand, my beloved SA kept them for me. It’s a good thing because I cannot pay for premium resell price.
Honestly, I don’t understand people who buy on Fashionpile or from other resellers purses from current season. They just support those people who buy bags just to resell and make money on shortage. I can understand if you want to buy vintage or pre-loved from past seasons, but buying new season bag from resellers is really stupid I think. Honestly have no idea who wants to pay $2000 over the price if you can find it at store. I mean, yeah you might have to wait but eventually you will get it
They are not stupid, they really can’t buy directly from the boutique. The avaiability is very limited these days.

Is lambskin with gold hdw hard to get in this style? I know caviar is

Hello! The minis go for around $4,400 USD up to $4,800 depending on the style. There are many reasons why the bags like the mini's are listed over retail on Fashionphile and other reseller pages.
- Minis are seasonal. Although they are extremely popular and considered a classic, they only come around with each launch as opposed to the larger sized classic flaps which are always being restocked at the boutiques.
- Minis are hard to get as is, so depending on the color and leather of the bag you saw, it could be one of the bags that are heavily sought out for because of the popularity of the color. They might be extremely limited because the boutique ordered very little. Sometimes you'll see people say 'xyz boutique' or 'this country' only ordered 4. So with such little inventory and a huge demand resellers like Fashionphile can get away with the mark up as long as someone wants to buy it. This is usually the case for hard to get colors that are very popular (ex: 21P Caramel or the notorious emerald green).
- It is caviar. Caviar is no longer in production so they are priced higher because some find caviar leather to be more durable than lambskin. Lambskin is the leather used to make minis at the moment and occasionally you'll see a goatskin mini like in the recent launches.
- Higher demand. It has been said many times that people are shopping more due to the pandemic because they cannot travel. On top of that there are also supply issues as a result of the pandemic. More demand with low supply on a already popular bag is why the prices go crazy. I have seen an emerald green mini sold for $15,000 USD!
- Wait lists, reserve lists and luck are generally required to get a mini! It isn't impossible, but it would be more difficult to get one than a classic flap in m/l for some boutiques. Some people are lucky enough to walk in and get one, but in cities where there are so much demand you generally need to get an SA willing to help you.
- Even so many boutiques receive very little inventory of the mini bags in certain colors so they will have a lottery amongst the SAs to allocate each one.
- There has been talks that SAs told some tpfers that wait lists and reserve lists are no longer allowed.
- Sometimes you really do have to chase down a boutique or SA to get one

- Tax, you can factor in taxes to. Some states add in an additional 10% on top of the retail price so the resellers may be trying to recoup those costs as well.
- Fashionphile is also a business so they probably want to profit as well.
- As long as someone is willing to buy it for whatever reason resellers like Fashionphile will continue to mark the prices up.

Sorry this was super long. I personally do not buy from resellers or pre-loved sites because I prefer to get it from the boutique with my lovely SAs, but I hope this helps people understand some of the markups. They can be reasonable mark ups or or absurd but someone out there is looking for that bag and willing to pay. I have my own opinions on resellers but there is a market for them thats why they exist.

Hi- I just got my first Chanel for my 40th birthday. It's a pre-loved caviar mini in black with edge stitching. It's in excellent condition. I'm terrified to use it to be honest. I'm wondering if anyone has a great breakdown of care instructions. Are there any good inserts of bag organizers that you would recommend? My current bag is a Gucci Soho Disco, so I'm used to small bags but I really want to keep this nice. When not in use should I wrap the chain and take my items out or stuff the bag? I would like for it to be my "everyday bag" so that's why I'm thinking an organizer might be better so I could have that in the bag to protect the shape. Thank you so much for any insight!!
You will love it ! Happy belated birthday ❤ I use samorga thin felt 1.22 mm organiser inside my minis and they are great and do not take up space unlike 2mm felt..
when storing i remove the organiser and use stuffing pillows (u can look on etsy if interested) , pull in the strap and place a felt underneath the strap part that touches top of the bag .
You can use tissues or even air paper instead of pillows.
i store away from direct sunlight
Thank you. Do you store it in the dust bag or box? I've read not to since they need to breathe. Some of my other bags (non-Chanel) I usually have loosely in the dust bag.
