You're right about that, the chain length is much longer for the rectangle and the bag sits too low for my liking when worn crossbody. The mini reissue is the perfect length for me crossbody and double strap and I'm looking to add that when I see the perfect combo!!
Separately, any idea if the puffiness will flatten over time like some quilts do? This is my first chevron lambskin

I tried on the mini reissue and the chevon rectangular mini at the boutique this week and was surprised that the chain length on chevron mini was actually shorter. I thought it would be long but hit just below my belly. I am 5'3. Does anyone has the measurements of the chain length, drop for the chevron rec mini?

Mine is 115cm - I was surprised how short it was on me (I’m 5’7) as everyone had said how long the rectangle mini straps are! I like it sitting quite high though so is perfect for me.

This is from 18S, the serial number begins with #25xxx. I have the same as yours but in rectangle. I love it to bits. I also got the matching zip card holder and a mini o case. That tells how much I like the colour because I normally choose variety. One of the best seasons in my opinion. I mean look at the iridescent effect (not really shown in your picture, it is hard to capture). Enjoy your bag in a good health!

Thank you!! And lucky you to be able to score them in so many different pieces!! And yes, the colour is gorgeous and I love how versatile the colour looks under different light! I couldn't put it down the moment I saw it!

Can I also check with you if the caviar gets wear and tear easily? I saw a post on TPF saying that Metallics like this is less durable compared to normal caviar. The outer of my bag does look a bit duller in comparison to the underside of the flap. Does yours loose its shine on the outside and how do you restore it?

My bag has also a slight shape lost on the right (in my previous picture), does it happen to yours?

Ok everyone, watch out for the strap connections on your mini flaps! I didn’t notice but mine is a little deformed, and after one use it’s completely detached from the bag. I can slot it back into the leather loop, but I can’t bend it into shape so seems like a manufacturing fault rather than me making the bag too heavy or anything! Gutted

There is seller offered me the bags but I only recall that black series 24 come in burgundy interior....maybe is that a fake one or maybe series 24 but in different season?

Oh no!!! Kookiliz, did you get it fixed? I have the same mini and havent used it yet... I just find the chain way too short.. debating if I keep/return it

I’ve decided I’m just going to return it rather than fix or replace - but I haven’t been able to get to a store yet as we’ve been put in lockdown in the south of England! My fear is that if that quality check has already been missed then what might go wrong with it further down the line? So sad!
Hopefully if you just check where your straps attach the metal is in perfect rings? One of mine is more of a D shape which is the issue.

You should consider an exchange.I got mine at the start of December in London Harrods and my rings are fine so I think you just got a fault bag. I’ve been using mine with no issues .

You should consider an exchange.I got mine at the start of December in London Harrods and my rings are fine so I think you just got a fault bag. I’ve been using mine with no issues .

thanks both! I’m just kind of annoyed with Chanel that you pay £3k for something and there’s a fault with it, in my mind that just shouldn’t happen. And it also flags to me that this might happen with the strap later down the line after wear and tear. I do also prefer gold hardware, so thinking maybe is a sign haha.
I’m debating looking at the 2.55 mini and the small 19 instead as seem a little more sturdy! But as I’m currently in Tier 4 in London I haven’t really done anything about it yet, just emailed Chanel to see if I can post it back to them for now.
