Well, that's my style:ty:my dark sense of humor can be misread sometimes but I mean well ;)
Please..... I get it and I was thinking the exact same thing. You still in the ring Penny? You turned off yet? While I would love to put this guy on a pedestal, he's still a man. You know, I think I should take my vacation in Hackney....hang out at the bars. If only I was a stalker. :giggles: I have to admit-Fassy's appeal is that he's interested in the swirl and isn't afraid to admit it. Very interesting.

I wish they did the Oscars like a NFL draft and have cameras do live streams of the actors reactions :p

How awesome would that be?

:giggles: You're not alone there. Or so I've heard.

Well... If I may waste my time and speculate further... In my opinion they probably had a long distance relationship that wasn't necessarily exclusive. I've read some comments of how they were somewhat casual and not so serious (all internet gossip mind you). Perhaps something that attracted MF to Zoe in the first place. A girlfriend who was a cool fun chick with no drama.

Yeah, I need a life... :p
My speculations: I can see them having an open relationship. No wonder why Zoe said she was trying to figure out the Fassbender situation. It's not a black or white thing. (From Cele*****y) She had two guys to chose from. One casual vs. one that could potentially be a little more serious. Who to pick? I think Zoe's trip to Toronto was for closure and to have one last good ****. I don't think it was a bad break-up just because I doubt they had time to develop a strong emotional bond due to Fassy working so much. I don't think he saw the relationship as serious either. Some time in June or July, before Venice, he took a 6 week trip with his dad and a friend. He was quoted saying that he didn't bring his phone. Hmmm. She must have realized it was never gonna work. He was never gonna make time. No wonder why she tweeted that she felt "**** level low". I think she cared more than he did. Just my speculation.

Just saw the Newsweek videos as well. Clooney kinda-sorta won me over a bit. Of course, he was the one that spoke the most so maybe that's why. But I did like the part where he said most of his money came from commercials overseas (Nespresso, we get those here) so he doesn't have to *rape* the movie budget. I've seen way too many movies where the actors get $20 million for doing crap! Haven't seen The Descendants yet...

Ah, do you come from la Suisse? (Blondel & Therme Vals...sigh)
Clooney's got good taste, shilling for Nespresso. They don't call him Mr. President in Hollywood for nothing...can't think of anyone in that business who openly dislikes him; he's a smooth operator ;)

We get those Nespresso commercials here too. They're totally playing with his gigolo image. Mostly they're funny but the current one not so much. I liked the ones with John Malkovich, those were hilarious.
But I have to say it's brave of him on the one side and sad on the other. It's brave because he's admitting he's doing commercials overseas. Not like Brad Pitt or Hugh Jackman who do commercials in Japan just so no one else in the worlds sees it and they can maintain their image (and financial status). But it's also sad because with this comment it's obvious he's just doing it for the money, he's not really believing in the product. And some people want to believe that the celeb who's representing the product also believes in it. Oh well I can't afford those Nespresso machines anyway.
Btw, Elisabetta Canalis also got commercial work now. She's doing ads for this Italian sweets called Giotto.

IMO this whole Michael 's type discussion is just ridiculous and also sad, because some people ( not you ladies ) , use it kind of insult others.

People fall in love with people who are their type , and with people who are not...

So you never know.

Maybe he ends up with James.

;)

( just kidding )

I imagine they must all be pretty nauseous right about now :D. Actors get encouraged to get in the spirit of Oscar competition and spend 3-4 months campaigning like it's a presidential bid...and they'll see if all these efforts have paid off in 5 min. There's no such thing as a venerable 6th position (just as there is no unbitter 4th place Olympic standing) for these people :p.

Ok, now that we have the Oscars hoopla behind us: I'm super disappointed for him, as I think it's the best performance of the year, but one thing is really bugging me, and has bugged for the longest time. He's involuntarily mired himself into controversy and hasn't given any sign of addressing any of it anytime soon.

Under normal circumstances, I'd say good for him for ignoring the gossipy side of it all, but given what it all implies, doesn't that make any of you uneasy? It kind of makes it hard to unreservedly root for him. Either he's really badly advised, either... I dunno. Sure, the papers aren't talking about it, but the impression/doubt is out there with more awareness, and it is not going away anytime soon unless there's a reversal of course.

Edit: just realized la Swinton also got snubbed. That's two of the best performances of the year, completely unrecognized by the conservative Academy.
