DrTr, I am so glad I scrolled back to see Dave. What a brave person you are to put your new bag on the floor with such a big boy! But I guess that's what others are saying about me putting an un-litterboxed kitten in a bag too, huh? Dave and bag are gorgeous!!

ladysarah, Skunk is quite a little stinker and I took some pics just for you! I was decorating my bag and he chose Piggy but I'm not sure that was the best selection. He enjoyed smelling Ms. Barenia and played inside, and then, plunked down to sleep.
That's too cute !:heart: Even inf I would be concerned by the kitten scratching this divine Barenia ...

lisab - thanks for the compliments on Dave and bag. Yes, perhaps I was brave, but I waited until he was worn slap out and less likely to be curious :). Your kitten is a doll! What a cute baby in the birkin!

OMG.....tooo cute! Sometimes I think about letting my dogs scratch the bottom of my barenia B....just so I was always have a little something of theirs with me. Kind of crazy to admit....but there it is!

As I'm sure is clear, Dave is overly excited about mom's first Hermes bag :p

Ahhhhhh, Dave is the best bag protector ever!

Oh no my dear Barenia friend. NO purposeful scratches. Don't you find they happen so easily? I have changed my nails from squared to rounded just to help save Ms. Barenia. Cut some fur and put it in a locket instead!!

My Chestnut friend, the couch awaits!! But in my home, there is always a cat to go on the head when reclining. West coast awaits!!!

OMG! The Shepherd King! How old is gorgeous Dave?

sparklelisab as a kitten mama myself, I can totally relate. I'm enjoying your stories and photos :smile1:

Lucywife, clearly you are a cat lover. I adore your avatar and kitty in bottom picture. If I could keep my home clean with twelve cats, I'd take the dozen. I have 3 but really 'need' one more!

Hi lucywife - Dave the shepherd king, I love it! Our boy is 2 1/2 years old. Poor guy just spent two nights in the doggie emergency hospital, apparently with ulcers from being sick. He now has a cool fade haircut on both sides of his belly from the ultrasound and "bracelets" where they shaved his front legs for the IVs. We got to bring him home Monday, and he is so much better today. Full of beans as it were. He's going to help FedEx today with a delivery of my first carre -I will do a small reveal. Thanks to all for your kind words about Dave. For sure he's our furry 100 lb kid.

mp4 - I love your avatar! Your Weimaraner looks gorgeous and playful. Yes Dave is quite the protecter. I get you wanting your dogs to scratch the bottom of your bag - I love finding a Dave hair when we travel, it's like a bit of Dave came with us on the trip. Perhaps in a controlled way for the scratches? :)

Oh, he is still a baby! So sorry to hear about ulcers, he was probably scared out of his mind with the pain and the hospital...Glad to hear that Dave is doing better, take care of your beautiful boy, I will pray for him.
Congratulations with the carre!

Funny with finding the dog's hair, I do the same thing, a bit obsessive though as my dh thinks. If I find my cats hair on my clothes, I won't take it off, I'm keeping it on to feel that they are with me.

Rivets on my jeans are the main scratch culprit....

Their fur isn't long enough to cut....I haven't had the nerve to make the scratches yet....and I'm not ruling it out as an option.

Thanks DrTr! My doggies are getting old....thus the compulsion to keep as much as them with me as possible. I leave their nose prints on my H bracelets to have as a reminder when I travel....same thing as you....I know a little part of them is with me. :smile1:

lucywife - thank you for your well wishes. I absolutely love your kitty in a hat! Very stylin and profilin.

mp4 -Yes, I too have left nose prints (my dogs not mine) on things, I just find it very comforting. It's so hard when our dogs and cats age isn't it? I often have wished they had comparable lifespans to us.

I did get my new carre - even though Dave was a bag model, I don't think he's trustable with a new silk:)
I will reveal elsewhere.

Thanks again to all.
