My brother has what we call a man bag.. Its actually a Mac Tool bag that carries like a short handled hand bag and opens really wide.. I tell him that its not a man bag as long as its just for tools... lol, however, sometimes his other necessities manage to slip in there.. lol...

I don't know how men don't lose everything. Wallet, keys, phone. How do they do it? If I didn't carry a bag I would lose everything! Hell I can't go from one room to the next without my bag...I am always needing something. I can't imagine my guy carrying a bag though....although he has carried my bag for me...but only as a gentleman.

Do you all remember the Friends episode with Joey and his "man purse"? :roflmfao:

My SIL and I tease my DH and my BIL when they carry our beach bags. My DH and BIL look way too cute together walking and talking and carrying the "stylish" beach bag. We will all be walking together and then my SIL and I will drop behind so they look like a couple:devil: We whistle and throw a few cat calls...hehe (It feels good being on the other end sometimes:shrugs:). In all seriousness though, my DH has more of an all American athletic look and I am not really sure if he could (or would) carry off a bag. I bought him designer jeans one day and we all laughed so hard when he put them on(I am convinced it was the slim cut and I am sure he could rock the right pair). I have a friend that has a very fashion obsessed DH though, and yes, he can pull a bag off. I would love to buy my DH a Bottega Veneta messenger bag but I don't think he would wear it.

Ah, you are so right and have just given me a little power. My DH is very practical and loses everything;)

Indy and his "Murse". HOT!

I second that:nuts:

I think bags are AWESOME. what is better than carting around all your personal possessions? And why should guys be stuck carrying a boring backback or briefcase? I think the boys should be allowed to have a bag fetish too!

I used to hate jewelry on men (probably because i mostly thought of sopranos style necklaces/bracelets on hairy arms and chests) but ever since johnny depp and orlando bloom -- i LOVE a guy in charm necklaces!! very PIRATEY

Indiana Jones. Pirates. Guess I wish the world wore costumes instead of clothes ;)

:roflmfao: That is really cute.
My DH will never wear a necklace, I am sure of that:yes: ,but what is wrong with a leather braided BV bracelet? I mean we could just call it a "wrist strap".

I just remembered he did wear the puka "surfer" necklaces when he was a kid and now my sons wear them.

My DH has no need for one but I so wish he did. I love the cross-body bags that I see the stylish boys getting around with. Whether he'd actually wear/use it... another story. He prefers to leave the bag carrying to me. And I'm hardly going to argue with that. After all, if I have to be the one to carry the bag, it's up to him to provide me with some seriously sexy ones. :roflmfao:

the closest thing DBF has to a man purse is this laptop bag for work and that just goes to and from work. if we go out depending on what he wears (jacket with pockets, pants with a few extra pockets, etc), he carries his wallet, keys, and smartphone with him. if he needs an extra pocket, he throws his keys or phone in my purse. he can never make fun of my bags because they help him carry his stuff too once in awhile!

I couldn't believe it a few years ago when my dad started carrying a man bag -- nothing fancy, just an oversized nylon camera bag type thing for all his gadgets (work cell, personal cell, GPS, digital camera, swiss army knife, etc.). I've thought about getting him a nicer bag to replace it, but if he ever got the faintest whiff of "man purse," he'd run like the wind. :shrugs:
