my bf only carries his bottega messenger when we travel
but he only uses it for the plane ride and ends up carrying my hermes tote during the trip
he complains its heavy and doesn't fit much so we are looking for a new bag for him

He has several bags that uses as weekenders, a brief case, a beach bag etc. He almost came this close to buy a regular man purse last winter from Prada. He didn't because he says he might never use it. But he still talks about it. We are not so different after all!

I'm a DH and carry several messenger bags. Most men where I live do not carry bags. You do see it occasionally although not the norm. An hour away in Orlando and you see quite a few guys carrying bags.

It has become so convienent for me to carry a bag that I couldnt function without a bag anymore. I have a LV Utah that I use for seminars. This is my largest bag and it's still considerably small. It fits a notebook and seminar notes although a laptop does not fit. My other two bags are nice italian leather bags and are about 10 X 10 in size. Wide cloth straps so definetly for a guy. One black and one brown. These I use as daily bags. I carry them too and from work everyday. I've been carrying a bag for over two years and have began carrying so much stuff now. My wife says Im as bad as a girl. I could probably use a larger bag. I also have quite a bit of wallets (most of them are designer womens wallets and larger than a typical guys wallet), some of them checkbook size and too big for my pocket so a bag is nice. Depending on where I am going sometimes I carry my bag and sometimes I leave it in the car. If Im with my wife or myself shopping, running errands or going out to eat I carry it with me. If we go to a nightclub or If Im doing something with the guysI leave it in the car.

I'd really like to get the Nikki in RM's new guy line....Ben Minkoff. Ive gave a couple of hints to my wife so Im hoping! Ive spent years building her a great bag collection so hopefully she can now return the favor!

^^^^^ I love this. I hope you get the bag you want.

My DH would never think of carrying a bag, but he has no qualms about handing me all his stuff to carry in my purse. It's just not in him to ever carry a bag, but he has some friends who do, so who knows it just might rub off. I seriously doubt he will ever want to carry a bag.

My good friend carries a murse! It's a bit amusing since he's this big, athletic, muscular guy carrying around a Michael Kors (or is it Marc Jacobs? I can never remember which) murse.

We decided he needed a new bag ever since he acquired an iPad. He didn't want designer bags although I had been pretty persistent in persuading him to get one, so in the end I picked him a nice black messenger from a sports brand and it works great.

He kept insisting he didn't need something so big but now he couldn't go anywhere without it. He keeps telling me it's awesome that everything could fit into the bag and not scattered in his pockets. I just roll my eyes whenever he told me that.

Ugh, I had an ex who used to do this. He said he 'didn't want anything to get lost' (since he had the attention span of a doorknob), but it was annoying to have him handing stuff to me all the time. And it's not like he could carry my handbag for me, either :smash:

My SO is like this, never ever wanting to carry a bag unless it was a backpack and handing me his stuff for me to carry. I don't mind carrying his stuff as it's only when we go on our getaways that I end up doing it, but if it were all the time, it would probably be a prob.

My husband - never! He even took the cross-body strap off his laptop bag and carries it like a briefcase!

However, he has a thing for any bags used for travel. He is always looking for the perfect carry-on bag (he has heaps), and also loves duffle bags (the bigger, the better!!) and most other luggage too!
