Men carrying a purse or handbag

I actually saw a guy walking on the street in Yorkville carrying a Coach swingpack. Of course he was tall, had thick wavy hair, sunglasses, buff, and gorgeous...but the bag looked totally wrong on him. Maybe if he carried a bigger Coach Swingpack it would look better on him because of his height and stature.

my bf wore a FANNY PACK at disneyland. i tried convincing him that he didn't need a bag, that a backpack would be more appropriate, and other options...but no. he just had to wear a fanny pack. i wanted to hide! he might as well have carried one of my purses. my friends who saw our pictures got a great kick out of it.

by the way, he's 19. even my dad doesn't wear one!

My DH has noticed the HOURS I spend here at TPF and has heard allot of my "lingo" concerning purses and what they look like, how they are made, etc. He has started noticing handbags due to my obsession with them and is actually developing a keen eye for quality handbags! After reading this I said, "honey, would you consider carrying a bag for your stuff? I mean you have two cell phones, 2 sets of keys, etc. You are always needing aspirin and stuff out of my handbag so why don't we look at some cool bags for you?" He looked at me with :wtf:

His respnse "are you CRAZY? I am in NO way interested in carrying a purse! Just because I am interested in your interest in purses doesn't mean I want one!"

Now, when I am here on TPF and ask him if he likes a particular purse he says "I am NOT telling you, you might buy it for me!" :roflmfao:

He takes it in good humor though, just says it isn't for him. Actually, it makes sense to me but in all honesty, would feel kinda strange with him carrying one. The ones that look like a messenger bag are ok though!

He's looked at some, but the ones he tends to gravitate towards are too casual/rocker chic for his work. They'd look great with his weekend wardrobe of Lucky Brand tees and Rock & Republic jeans, but he doesn't need one then. He could really use a nice laptop bag, though.

He likes LV briefcases but would never carry a manbag. And I like how he asks me to keep his sunglasses case in my purse so I can pop it out everytime we got in/outdoors... makes me feel like I'm pampering him?
