I am sorry but fanny packs are gay, not in the homosexual way - just gay.

Hon you're being WAY too defensive. He wasn't calling your husband gay, merely pointing out that body type has nothing to do sexual orientation. I"m 6'1" with broad shoulders and I'm gayMeanwhile I have male friend who's 5'6" and has delicate, feminine features but is as straight as can be.

Your man is rocking that bag! But I think he'd rock anything he wears! Here's my imPROPER man with a couple of his bags. He's a manly-man even with his bags, earrings and boyzilian, I wouldn't want him any other way.

i agreeI am a guy and I wouldn't make other people carry my stuff, I find that extremely selfish. Nor would I carry other people's stuff for them, that just yells lazy.
If you are a man, and need to carry something, then you should get over your neanderthal view that a bag is somehow a women's thing and get a bag. The fact that some men won't carry bags is actually completely shocking to me, I don't understand it. It is a pouch for your stuff, it doesn't make you look like a girl. And you should stop being so damn selfish by asking your woman to carry stuff. You are a man, if anything, you should be the gentlemen and you should be carrying your SO's handbag, in which case you can put your own stuff in it.
Came across this thread today and thought I would weigh in from one man's perspective.I usually do not post but here I go.
By way of background,I am 53 years old, been married to the same woman for 31 years and have three children..2 young women 23 and 21 and a son 17. I played High School and Division I Football in College.I am an avid sportsman who skiis, deep sea fishes, golfs, hunts wild bird, and am a card carrying member of the NRA,with a pistol permit allowing me to shoot in competitions.I am also a CEO of a $400 million company....and I carrry a whatever you would like to call it.....ManBag.Murse,Bag,or even God forbid...horrors..a "PURSE"!!I believe Spielberg 1 had it right ..it is nothing more than a pouch to hold things, whatever it is called.
It began 3 years ago for several reasons.First my Massage Therapist told me to get my wallet out of my back pocket,so my spine had a better than even chance of staying in alignment.Factor in the technological gadgets that are part of everyday life (cell phone,PDA,iPod,Camera), and items that one needs as a 53 YO...reading glasses, sunglasses to protect one's aging retinas, and a ready supply of Alleve, along with the usual suspects such as wallet, keys, change, etc. and it is an absolute necessity to have all of this neatly contained and available to you .I cannot think of any other way to accomplish this than to carry a Bag.
I routinely use a Balenciaga Weekender for our trips to our 2nd home in Stowe,Vt.and a Balenciaga Men's Day Messenger when I travel by air so as I am able to be hands free. For my daily Bag I use a Mulberry Anthony Messenger(although I am eyeing those Campomaggi Bags) in Black..Chocolate..or Oak depending what I am wearing. My wife has purchased many of my bags(she too is a Balenciaga fan- main reason I joined this forum-to learn enough to get them as gifts for her...and an occasional one for me too!) and is super comfortable with me carrying a Bag.I can not imagine now ever not carrying one...it is so convenient...organized...and neat.
I am sure this will not change anyone's mind...but thought I would give you hope.
The only purse my husband would carry is mine when I say 'here hold this'. :shame:
Spielberg1,
I love those Campomaggi Bags...particular the Cobalt Blue one...too bad I do not understand Japanese to order from them.
What City was the Bloomingdales that you saw them in?They were not online.
Thanks..hope my post helps you all to convince your men to carry a bag....no one would ever accuse me of not being a "Man's Man" and I carry one.Must be getting old too...don't much care what others think,it works for me.
Thanks for your help.
Any man who does that will be going out an getting a Boyzillian next!!
Not any PROPER men!
