I had a red and burgundy messenger awhile back that I bought on ebay - it was gorgeous. Seriously. The leather was super thick, shiny but soft. The lining was soooooo cute. I sold it though because I'm not really a messenger girl. But it was beautiful!

I LOVE marino orlandi, it is pretty old company, they make awesome doctor's bags (earlier designs I like more than modern), very high quality leather aging very well

Does or has anyone heard of Marino Orlandi??

I was in TJ Maxx, my newest hunt for handbags, and they had a Marino Orlandi handbag that just called my name and had to come home with me and it did. But I know nothing about this bag, never heard of it. I know someone here must have. Please tell me all you know.

great quality

Hi! I have what I believe to be a vintage Marino Orlandi. :wonderingI would like to know what opinions are of it. It is obviously a well-made bag, and I don't think it was purchased at a TJ Maxx just because I do think it is vintage by the style and the "wear" on the hardware (seems to have faded from its orginal gold color in places on the buckles). In my mind (anyway) I picture a woman purchasing this purse on a trip to Italy.... It is a classic style and I usually carry bags more updated, but I can't force myself to let it go. Anyway...anyone have more history on this designer or on the quality of these bags overall, etc.?

Yes, I love my MO handbag... i did purchase at TJMax and a year or so later I saw same bags marked up there $100 ... they must have realized they could receive much more for them..... it has helped up beautifully and I have never received more compliments on a bag before!

Just got the bucket bag in the op's second post off the clearance section at TJMaxx for $139 in a light on light tan shade. Very nicely made bag. :smile1:

Wow, been researching this brand a bit and they have some really gorgeous bags styles.
From thier website it looks like they are actually made by local people as well -not mass produced.

I'll have to find some of those croco bags.....

Appled my new bag this morning.... so its a keeper ( love the rareity of it).

I've never bought one, but they've been at T.J.Maxx for as long as I can remember and I've been shopping there for probably 15 years. They have great handbags. My best friend and I have bought enough of them from there.

A few weeks ago I was in T.J.Maxx and there were Prada bags. There was a great, satchel-style one marked down from over $1800 to about $1195.

I love Marino Orlandi!!! I have 14 purses, 3 pieces of luggage, and 2 briefcases. I have been collecting for 12 years now and each purse is still very wearable. I definitely select my outfits to match my purses! Most of my purchases have been at TJ Maxx stores. I have obtained a few from ebay.

The company is a small, locally owned and operated factory. The workmanship and durability are unequaled to the likes of Dooney and Bourke, Prada, Chanel, and all of the other top designers in my opinion.

Enjoy yours - you can't go wrong!

I am currently pondering the purchase of a turquoise blue purse with matching wallet on ebay...sounds like a great mother's day present to me! Ha!
