I have a bronze coin purse that I used religiously and relentlessly - so much so, that I think most of the metallic has been scrapped off after banging around in a variety purses over the past decade. I so wished I like the FIRST size as well - it's just so small for me - I think my collection would be much bigger if that was the case as those seem to pop up a lot more than city sizes.

I was never successful and finally decided they must have released all too few of them!I have no idea how it was even possible, but after only two days I received this squishy girl today. After weeks of cancellations and playing the waiting game, patience & determination FINALLY paid off and this lovely 07 Violet/Grape City arrived yesterday looking brand new with all its tags & spare tassels tucked neatly inside. I was surprised to discover this was agneau (I know this was the season they made the change & some bags were chevre while others were agneau). If I didn't know better, I'd swear it was chevre - so soft & distressed. Such a difference from the Tempete I had/returned. I was so excited when it suddenly reappeared earlier this week & I held my breath until UPS dropped it off
That's weird because 07 bags were chèvre, and that certainly looks like it. Tag error? @RealDealCollection Corey, have you ever seen the like?

I actually thought it was a tag error too, then I noticed that Violet City on VC also says Agneau. I did some searching and found this thread. Seems that 07 Violet/Grape bag bags were a mix of both agneau and chevre. It may have actually been one of the first colors to make the switch from chevre to agneau
Violet / Grape RH City Owners! Lamb or Goat Leather?
I just recently purchased a Violet RH City bag from Aloha Rag and the tag it came with indicated that the bag was made from "agneau" or lamb leather instead of "chevre" or goat leather. My other Balenciagas are made from goat leather. Do you know why this is? Can any other violet/grape owners...

Its funny you mention the veiny appearance. I noticed this language on the tag
Granted, I haven't seen a whole lot of Balenciaga tags, but I don't remember seeing this language on tags that came with chevre bags (or bags that predated 2007)
I compared it to my other bags & while the texture of the leather is most definitely different form the chevre leather, its also very different from the agneau leather than the tempete had which felt cheaper and more like plastic
