Can someone please tell me how to apply leather conditioner on the bag? I got the Cadillac brand and Collonil Waterstop is on its way. Do I do the Collonil first and apply the Cadillac using a microfiber cloth? I took a peek at the bag (bucket in camello/orange) to check the stitching and the attached pouch, I LOVE IT!!!

Thanks! I've been looking for a good cream water protectant. I love the leather milk conditioner too btw. I've got a flamma crossbody on order and was thinking I should protect it since it's not like it's supposed to patina. You don't think it's necessary though? My one concern with the chamberlains is that it says it can darken the leather, which I like on the veg tanned bags but don't think I would on the calf ones...

I personally didn't think it was necessary to waterproof my flamma bucket as I've had water on it and didn't leave a mark. Plus, the calf leather used to make the flamma has already been treated, if I remember correctly.

not as shiny, but no water marks!

Still gorgeous!! ;)

Thanks for the awesome intel. What a beautiful family you have!

They look great, might have to give this product a try!

Thanks for this post! Really informative!

Thank you ladies, this thread was really helpful to begin with so I am glad to be able to give something back!

Update: Almost 24 hours later, the camello is looking SO GORGEOUS after the protectant has set in. I am really now obsessed with the camello and I definitely see more camellos in my future......I am so glad the husband doesn't read TPF.

I used Apple leather conditioner on my cammello/azzurro mini bucket yesterday and it took it very well--bag doesn't look any different and I feel better knowing it is protected--we have lots of rain here right now so it still may be a bit before I can use it.

Thank you!
Gosh, I like the matte finish. I think you can't go wrong either way.
I could switch it up, I suppose.

Has anyone used anything on their calf coated leather? I have two things going on. First is color transfer after just one day wearing denim which came off with some leather cleaner I had, no problem. The second concern that it seems to be developing dry lines/creases where the leather is bent/curved. I'm wondering if some sort of conditioner would be useful for this and if so, what?

I would read through and try one of the suggested conditioners. you could test it on the pouch first or the bottom of the bag. I have those lined on my veg tanned bags.ImageUploadedByPurseForum1432397781.775611.jpg

What color is your bag? Is it the rosa? I got some blue spot on my rosa tote today and I had to run leather cleaner for awhile to remove the stain. I hope the rosa doesn't stain easily because I also have the bucket but I am too worry to bring it out. What type of leather cleaner did you use?

It's the Rosa/Rosa large bucket. I used some coach leather cleaner I had here and a mr. clean magic eraser and gently rubbed in a circular motion. It came off no problem.
