Hey ladies ok so I got my Brandy Avion a while ago now but wanted to condition and waterproof before using. I then decided to order some Blackrock Leather N Rich based on a few other people's suggestions. I finally got the leather conditioner in the mail today and tested it out on the detachable zipper wallet/clutch. It hardly changed the color at all- rather, it enhances the richness of the leather! I have included some photos so you can see the comparison between the purse and the zipper wallet. I will condition the purse tomorrow when I get the chance. Also, after putting the conditioner on and wiping it off with paper towel, then buffing with a soft cloth, I sprayed a small bit of Aldo waterproof spray on the zipper wallet and it dried up almost instantly leaving no spots behind! So all in all everything worked great and I have conditioned and waterproofed the wallet part now!:) can't wait to do the rest so that I can finally use the Brandy avion! (I already have the black flamma and use it a lot and receive compliments from girls AND guys on how nice of a bag it is!) It looks wonderful! Since I have black rock and this tote, I will now condition it before I wear it too.

Hello rdgidy,
Your bucket looks gorgeous! May I ask if it was vegetable tanned leather? I ask just because I am still a little nervous as the blackrock leather n rich says it beautifies all leathers except naked, untreated leather. However, your bucket looks fantastic as does LL1985's wallet.
Thanks so much!

Anyone have any recommendations for a cream or lotion waterproofing product to use on the calf leathers? I live in an apartment so spray products are not too convenient. Thanks!

Mine is vegetable tanned leather and it worked very well. The brandy above also is veg tanned and it looks awesome too. You could also try it on the wallet first to see what you think.

Ok so an update: I have now conditioned my Brandy bag with Blackrock and also sprayed it with the weather and stain guard I have from Aldo. It looks great and is hanging to allow for the product to absorb into the leather. Exciting news is that when I received my bag there were a couple imperfections, most notable, a mark on the back of the bag. After being offered a discount from Steven Alan in lieu of this and because there were no bags to exchange mine for I kept it and... The leather conditioner made SUCH a difference! Here is a side by side comparison of before and after! [emoji7][emoji4]ImageUploadedByPurseForum1431573332.672360.jpg

Mimilo, I asked this on a chat feature on a website that sold Blackrock because I had read that too, and they said no you can use it, but it might slightly change the color that's why it says not to use it on nude or untreated leather. They said it would be fine to use and after having spoken to a number of people on PF I decided to try it out and honestly it made such a difference in the quality of the leather, diminishing marks and imperfections and hardly changed the color! I'm glad I did it! What color is your MG? I have a black flamma and the Brandy avion and have now conditioned both and they look amazing! ImageUploadedByPurseForum1431573726.081117.jpg

Looks fantastic!! Blackrock Leather N Rich seems like a really good product. Guess I'll be getting it soon :smile1:

So would you condition the leather first then waterproof with the spray or is it the other way around? I'm abit confused as to which order to do it in.

It looks really good!

Hi all, regarding water spots:
I've got a mini calf white/blu bucket. my bag and I got rained on a couple of weeks back. The water spots looked blue after I found shelter. However, after the bag dried, the spots were gone, not a single mark!

I sprayed mine with weather and stain repellent after conditioning :)

Thanks so much rdgldy and LL1985! It's so great to hear that I can try the Blackrock. I have a black/flamma bucket that arrived with defects also (rough patches and uneven black dye). I kept the bag but with regret. Now I can try the Blackrock to see if it will improve the condition of the bag. Again, much thanks!

Oh also don't fret if you see some dye come off on the paper towel- it's just excess dye and will not affect the look of your bag!:)
