It is very lightweight, which makes it great for carrying for a long day. A mini bucket is a great size to hold what you might want for a meal out.

But, it really depends what kind of traveling you are doing and what your needs are. I personally would not want a bucket bag like this for travel. I like to have a bag with pockets when I travel, especially an outside pocket, so I can reach for some money or a map without opening a whole bag with my passport and wallet every time I need to reach for something. I've been using my bucket bag in NYC, where I live, and I am very conscious that it doesn't close tightly, which would make me uncomfortable if I were traveling and walking around another city all day.

Hello!

Actually ever since I managed to tie my bag this way (http://forum.purseblog.com/showpost.php?p=28303810&postcount=4467), the bucket bag is EXCELLENT for travel. It can now be closed very tightly with minimal hassle (you slide the knot up and down only) while obvioulsy the bag is very light! :D

Do you happen to have a link how to tie that step by step? I want to wear my new bucket out, but i don't have a good way of tying it.

For those of you who own a MG bag (or other brand) in Saffiano leather -

Have you used any products on the leather? I have a white bucket purchased at Barneys. I'm a little worried about possible color transfer and wondering if I should think about spraying it.

I have the white saffiano tote and I havent done anything with it. Honestly I havent even thought about color transfer. Ive only had it a few weeks though. I do wear it with black quite a bit and so far so good. 😄

thanks for the info! I am not one to baby my bags (but I don't abuse then either) and thought that the saffiano leather would be perfect for a white bag. I wear alot of black as well and most of my denim is well worn or of "vintage" color.

Hi everyone! For those of you who are planning to use Apple Garde Rain and Stain Repellent on your light colored Mansurs, I would like to assure you it is completely safe! 😊

I received my cammello/rosa regular bucket from Jenni Kayne today and it was as perfect as can be. It arrived in pristine condition. Right away I tested the AG spray on the zipped pouch and since it turned out great, I proceeded to waterproof my whole bag. I was a bit hesitant before cause of the oiliness of the spray and the naked vegetable leather. I was quite generous with spraying and initially I was worried about dark splotches... But my beautiful bucket bag dried up so evenly! 😀

Can't wait to use it already! 😍

You're welcome! (I'm the same, I don't baby, but I don't abuse either.. and I still want my things looking nice) I've read that the saffiano is pretty indestructible, I think that's why I was drawn to it. A white bag that I don't have to worry about and still looks great 24-7. I'm in! :D
