I can't remember the lady's name! She was sweet though, and had a great northern accent.

I went for the turtle 90cm scarf in brown in the end. The other one I loved was the Hermes en Voyage - the one with all the flags! - I'll get that next time

Lorna is lovely, I always end up spending ages talking to her LOL. I'm sure she will do really well as she is so friendly and helpful.

Lorna must be the sa I chatted to,she was so helpful and freindly I would definately make a purchase from the Selfridges concession due to her lovely warm and attentive nature!

Hi chaz,

the breaking in cars at kendalls is a regular occurance sadly - i came back to see glass everywhere allover seats etc, my husbands car has been broken into years b4 that (he hadnt told me of the prob!) and some friends have too - isnt it sad that these things happen. dont think they liked my taste in music because they left my cds lol!!

Its disgraceful that it happens,'touch wood' it hasn't happened to me yet...I can't imagine that horrible feeling when you get back to your car and its been broken into, especially if you have had a great day out in M/C too, what a total downer that would be.

And LOL!!! They would probably leave my cd's too..........along with all the other bits in my car that seem to get left in there like tile spacers, tile cutters/grout etc............

Gosh, I didn't realise it was that bad, both DH & I leave our cars there on a regular basis and touch wood haven't experienced any problems. In fact recently DH left his car there until 1 am without any problems whilst we were in town for an event

I'm about an hour away from Manchester too. I park in NCP Piccadilly Plaza it's £5.20 for 2 hours on a Saturday - ouch!! However it is really handy to the shops, avoids the centre itself and I find it easy to find it! Yes I found the young SAs in Selfridges are super friendly and very generous with the perfume samples! The SAs in King Street were really nice too but as I had spent my lot for the day at Selfridges when I went there I was just looking really - are they the same franchise? Not sure how Hermes operates?

The assistants in Selfridges spend one day a week at the King Street store and vice versa. I haven't purchased anything from Selfridges yet because if I am at King Street and they have a particular colour I want but its at Selfridges, they have always insisted someone brings it over, even though I am more than happy to walk over there myself.
