Hi

Just want to ask if any fellow UK tpfers can advise if shops in the UK are typically open on Sundays?

Also, if H in Manchester are open on Sundays as well? Does Selfridges have a H counter? If so, what are the hours?

Thanks in advance!

Hi - generally with Hermes, the stand-alone Boutiques are open Mon-Sat, except for Bank Holidays when they are closed, and the concessions (Selfridges/Harrods) are open every day according to the store times.

Manchester has 2 Hermes - King St (closed on Sundays/Bank Hols, otherwise open Mon-Sat 10am-6pm I think), and Selfridges Exchange Square. Selfridges opening times here:

Selfridges Exchange Square opened at 7.30am for the sale last week - although Hermes wasn't in the sale, they were also open at 7.30am.

I prefer shopping in King Street to Selfridges, so I don't go on a Sunday. HTH!

Has anyone visited the Hermes store in Manchester?
This is probably the nearest store to me even though its 100 miles away :-(
has anyone ever tried to get on THE LIST for a Birkin or Kelly there? any information would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Manchester does not operate the "list" system unlike the London stores. They have two stores one in Selfridges and one on King Street. The staff are all super helpful and lovely, but you are very unlikely to get a Birkin or Kelly there. All their podium orders get allocated to existing customers

Thanks very much Ms Birkin that helps a lot as I was thinking of driving up there,it sounds like it would be a wasted journey.

Hi

Hermes Manch Kings street - like most hermes you have to buy some items , get a SA relationship going which is more easier as its so small and wait a bit . Buy regularly and at some point you will get your wish list asked for . Then you'll get the call ...

Hello, does anyone know if Hermes Manchester is usually well stocked in bags (Kelly, Toolbox, Victoria) and shawls or not?

To answer your question yes, you will probably find Victoria's, Evelyne's, and shawls in both Manchester stores. Kelly's and Birkin will be impossible unless you are about god drop shed loads of ££ on other things. Probably best to call in advance to check stock.

To update, the King Street boutique relocated into Selfridges on the 17th of November. With the move, Selfridges expanded the boutique which is now on two floors. Their leather goods last weekend were limited, but they had Evelynes, Victorias, Plumes and Berlines, plus quite a good range of SLGs. Their silk stocks were limited, probably due to the recent opening drawing lots of attention. They have a good sized jewellery section and RTW.

Hope that helps?

:smile1:
