I strongly encourage not to email about it. Just ask the next time you are face to face. Clearly if the answer were a "yes", she'd have reached out but following up may get you back in line for the next one. "Any news on the XYZ you thought might have been in by last week?"
Thanks ! I also assumed there is no need to touch base but thought to ask for an opinion.

Hi All, would love some input in this current situation I'm facing. My SA has been promoted, and we requested an appointment on the day that they are not working. They have said they can introduce us to a new SA..just wondering, could the following scenarios I have made up in my head be true?

1) We are not frequent clients so my current SA is trying to offload us to another colleague, who works on the days that we can visit the store?
2) Should I take the meeting to meet the new SA they are trying to connect me with, or should we just try and vibe with a new SA?

Appreciate your thoughts.

I don’t see any reason why an SA would lie about a promotion to “offload” a client. I would take the meeting. You’re under no obligation to work with that SA but hopefully your old SA would be recommending someone she or he thinks would be a good fit. If it doesn’t work out you can always come back and find a new one on your own.

Do all SAs try to keep track of QB series numbers to spot potential resellers?

I was randomly asked to share my QB receipt, which I obliged. But I’m a bit taken aback by this since I thought we’d built good rapport. Or maybe SAs are trained by company policy to “trust but verify”?

For context I accepted my second choice QB, so of course I’m going to go back working on my first choice. Isn’t this what they intended?

Can you clarify the situation? Your SA asked you to show them your receipt from the QB that you purchased from them? I don't get it... wouldn't that already be in the system? Can't they just pull up your profile and see the bag you got with the serial number? So you went shopping, and your SA randomly said, "hey btw, did you bring your receipt from that last bag you got?"

It happened over text. We were texting about what I wanted to see in store before coming in, then they asked to check something in my last QB receipt.

That is really odd. I've never been asked that before. And they can just pull it up in the system because my SA has asked me if I needed the receipt for a previous purchase reprinted. The only thing I can think of if they're checking the name on the card used to see if it matches the profile. Really strange though and I would be taken aback as well.

My picture of the receipt happened to be cut off right above the name on the card used (mine) and my SA was fine with it. What a mystery!

that really is the oddest thing. Like what if you didnt keep track of the receipt? Mine are all floating around somewhere in my closet

This is very strange. The only legit thing I can possibly think of is that she has another client who wants the same bag/color and wanted to check with you on if its a current production stamp and thus still being made or an old stock bag so her other client would probably be out of luck. Still, she could have just asked you without needing picture proof though. (My conspiracy side wonders if she is selling a fake bag on sly and needed a legit receipt to back up authenticity for her buyer... 🧐)

EEK! I sure hope that isn’t the case. But as Bdbunny said above can’t they just reprint the receipt from their system?

Tbf my SA didn’t directly ask for picture proof, just if I could find that receipt to check something. Then I sent the photo without asking why

Would love to know the exact wording of her request. She could have been checking that the correct SA name was assigned to all items if her commission came up different than she expected (though this also should be noted on your profile anyway)

One of the more unprofessional questions would not expect an SA to ask from Hermes
In its own way it can make a client feel she is on the spot
In all my years shopping at H & was just there yesterday to make a purchase, was never
asked this question or really any question that could be considered crossing the line
SA's have their own ways of ascertaining info. IMO, SA was out of order & created a bad impression

As far as I understand, if you bought a QB from the store (aka not from a reseller) then that bag is “assigned” to you in the system at check out, so if you ever take it in to another store for spa, once they put the serial number of the bag into the system your profile will come up. So I don’t know why your SA would need to see your receipt, unless they forgot to put that bag under your profile?

As far spotting resellers, I think it is part of the SA’s job to “vet” clients to minimize resellers. My SA will casually ask me sometimes where is my XYZ bag if I didn’t wear it to the store, so I just make it a point to wear my H bags when I visit, just to show her I still have it and didn’t sell it.

That's what I was thinking too
But then all of this is visible to all sales people under the profile. I can not think of anything that's on the receipt and not in their system.
