I found this interesting as well. From what I've gleaned from "SA relationship tips" on forums and social media, it is advised that a customer visit their SA often even to buy something small like lipstick/fragrance/toiletries or a Twilly. To me that would be really annoying, but I have resigned to the idea that shopping directly from Hermes is a little like bizarro world (to me at least).
If I went into the store frequently purchasing small items like the ones you mentioned my SA would not be happy to see me so often :D I do not waste her time and earning potential which is why I rather go every two to three months spending minimum 5K per visit.

Hi, if I *need* something I see on H website and text my SA to purchase, how long should I wait before purchasing online? Should I give them a heads up before I purchase online? My SA usually texts back within minutes or hours at most but I want this item so much and I’m sitting on fire

What's the item and are you working towards a QB offer? Depending on what it is/your goals it should be ok. Just dont make a habit of it. If you have an option to pop into the boutique the SA could order it for you.

lol when you put it that way I can't decide if I'm being trolled sometimes by Hermes content on social media and my very literal interpretation tendency probably fans the flames.*
IMO, if a solid, regular, normal client needs a lippie or something small, no issue. But, if one tries to make a relationship out of small things, it seems like a waste of time for both parties. One doesn’t have to spend big every time: there are times I go expecting to shop and find nothing. There are also times when I go planning not to shop and buy stuff. Shopping should be somewhat natural and enjoyable :)

Help! So my SA is leaving 😢 I've been her client for only ~7 months but I thought we had a good rapport so I'm pretty bummed. I was introduced to a new SA but they are quite new to the store and the company. I'm nervous that this will impact my QB offer if the SA doesn't have a lot of internal leverage to really advocate for me, so I'm wondering if I should try to find a more senior SA. At the same time, I can see a benefit to starting out with someone new that's building their client list. I feel like they might make me more of a priority in the long term. I'm not a huge spender but shop pretty regularly (almost monthly) and stay loyal to my one SA. It's just that I really want a QB this year and it feels like this may not happen with a brand new SA. Thoughts? I'm in a fairly competitive store in the US, store profile goes back a few years but I've returned to being a more regular shopper at my store just within the past year.

New SA is the way to go. The SM wants to see them succeed and will give them the same access to normal quota bags as the other SAs but you’ll be competing with fewer other clients who are all on the same relationship timeline as you.

I connected with an SA that was new to the Hermes when I start shopping with the brand again a few years ago. I was a little hesitant as well but I stayed with them and I'm glad I did. I accepted my first QB, a K25, after shopping with them for 5 months and had subsequent QB offers fairly regularly. And I'm not a big spender. I appreciate them looking after me and I think being a consistent client who's been with them since the beginning has helped create a solid client/SA relationship.

no, QB and non-QB dont count towards spend
I wonder if this varies from store to store. I have heard/read others say a non quota bag counted toward their pre-spend, in the context that they were at or under 1:1 and had purchased a few non quota bags, but then again they might be trying to make it sound like they were receiving preferential treatment, fanning the flames, as social media commentary tends to do. But I have heard people say it counted "for them." I have also heard/read that some clients get offered a B or K and then another shortly after, making it seem as though the first QB counted toward pre-spend. But maybe they got something else, secretly. Other Hermes enthusiasts are becoming unreliable narrators! jkjkjk
