Please move to appropriate thread as needed but if I’d like to ask my SA to order some silk scarves for me today since there weren’t any I wanted in stock at the store, do I pay upfront or pay at pick up? Trying to beat the price increase!
I think the price increase is here already, as of this morning.
As far as your question, it depends on how the SA has to order it and how you ask for it to be brought in:

If he/she is bringing it into the store for you to "try on" and they are pretty easy to get and then sell to another client, then you probably won't pay ahead of time.

If you are fairly certain you want the scarves, they are pretty unique/not easily sellable, or the SA has to pull some strings to get them from another store's inventory--then they'll probably require pre-payment.

Whenever the SA has ordered something for me whether it's been from the website or transferred from another store I've always paid then and there! I'm trying to do the same with silks so I can confirm if it's before you do it!

Ooo okay thanks! Sorry when you say paid then and there, do you mean at the time you ordered? Or at the time you picked the item up?

I wanted a something and I asked my SA if they can order it online for me. But they said they had it in store and to come in instead. But they didn’t even have it and they were too busy to help me. Should I change SA’s?

the short answer is: probably yes

the item might have been in stock at the time your SA answered you, but sold to another client by the time you went in. Did you make it clear that you wanted to purchase it? Did you confirm an appointment time with your SA before you went? Regardless, this incident may be a sign that this SA is not suitable with your shopping style, so you probably should try someone else.

It depends on the situation… did you ask your SA to reserve it for you, and did you have an appointment with them when you came in? If the answer is yes to both, I’d be very disappointed with my SA, and the next thing to consider would be how long you’ve been working with them and the type of working relationship you have. If the relationship is new, they haven’t been very reliable, then by all means try a different SA until you find one you work well with. However, if you didn’t ask them to hold it and didn’t make an appointment, I wouldn’t hold that against them. Unless you have an appointment, you have to be prepared that they may not be available if you just pop in.

If there is something I like, I specifically as my SA to hold it for me and I always make an appointment. The couple of times I pop in without one, I always prepare for them to be busy and to perhaps not be available to assist. If they don’t have something available in store, I’ve had no issues having items ordered from online or from another store.

I wanted some scarves and I asked if they could order it for me online since they can get the commission, I can get it before the price increase, and the time I wanted to go in, they were busy. However, they said it was in store and to come pick it up. I got there, asked another SA to check out the item since mine was busy and was told that neither colors/pattern were even available. Ended up not getting the item or being able to check out new items since I was trying to not work with another SA. This is a new relationship, but I was trying to build a relationship with them since I got a pair of shoes and non-qb from them. I could've ordered it online myself but I was trying to stay loyal and give them the commission. Should I give them another chance? Does it matter if I got offered a non-qb from them before?

Were the items perhaps put aside with your name on them by your SA? If so it’s likely another SA wouldn’t be able to locate them and would just see them in the system as out of stock.

No, they were not put aside since my SA did not say anything about putting them aside for me. The other SA showed me their phone and said they didn't even have one available in the colors I wanted even though my SA said they were available.

Hi- new on here and hoping someone could help. I started a profile with H almost 2 years ago. My SA first offered me a beautiful bag very quickly but I declined b/c of size, (28 and I wanted 25). I have not been offered anything since then and curious to know what could be contributing to this. Is it the 1st decline? Am I purchasing the wrong things, (I buy a lot of shoes and some home)? Should I be asking about the bag, (I'm pretty quiet and not demanding)? I'm seeing my SA first week of March and plan to buy something for my home. Do I continue to spend or stop until offered the QB? I'm currently at 1:1.

Additionally, when offered a QB do you receive a call or text? When I was offered the 1st one that I declined it was in store and very unexpected. Thanks so much!

I don't think declining an offer affects subsequent offers. SAs aren't "offended" by declines, most would rather clients get what they want, instead of having a client take an offer they don't like and potentially depriving it from someone else who might enjoy it more. SAs also don't earn commission from QBs (in the US), so there's no financial incentive for them either way.

1:1 over 2 years may be a bit stretched out, also if you don't ask your SA might not know you want one. When you go to the store maybe just bring it up and ask. They may need to update your wishlist.

How offers are communicated seems to vary. Some people are surprised when they go in for shopping, some people get texts in the lines of "I have an XYZ bag available, are you interested?", others get calls. I got a call for my first offer.

What did your SA say when you addressed this with him or her?

Let’s just put it this way….1:1 in 2 years doesn’t put u at the top of the list in any SAs mind unless you have a super great personality that the SA is EXCITED to see you. Many customers do 1:1 in 2 weeks and are at 2:1 before they get any offers. Any country, any store, under current situation. SAs generally prioritise customers whom they see in person often.

So, it doesn’t really help you when your dream bag is the same as 99% of the customers.

Also, H do like their customers to buy across metiers. It would certainly help you to explore more.

Anyway, I’m sure you will know what to do after you plough through previous posts in this thread and the spend threshold for bkc thread.
