Let’s just put it this way….1:1 in 2 years doesn’t put u at the top of the list in any SAs mind unless you have a super great personality that the SA is EXCITED to see you. Many customers do 1:1 in 2 weeks and are at 2:1 before they get any offers. Any country, any store, under current situation. SAs generally prioritise customers whom they see in person often.

So, it doesn’t really help you when your dream bag is the same as 99% of the customers.

Also, H do like their customers to buy across metiers. It would certainly help you to explore more.

Anyway, I’m sure you will know what to do after you plough through previous posts in this thread and the spend threshold for bkc thread.
Yes you’re right. Tbh I had twins 8 months after meeting so things got a bit hetic. I also moved temporarily about 4 hours away from the store so it hasn’t been easy to go in as often… I was offered a popular Kelly very quickly in the beginning and my spend at the time was very low (think it was my second visit), so I assumed stretching it because of my circumstances wasn’t a reason I was being held back but who knows! Haha. An acquaintance of mine was offered a coveted 25 Kelly after spending 1:1 over 10 months so I wasn’t sure if I need to buy more non leather items in addition to just spending more.

I don't think declining an offer affects subsequent offers. SAs aren't "offended" by declines, most would rather clients get what they want, instead of having a client take an offer they don't like and potentially depriving it from someone else who might enjoy it more. SAs also don't earn commission from QBs (in the US), so there's no financial incentive for them either way.

1:1 over 2 years may be a bit stretched out, also if you don't ask your SA might not know you want one. When you go to the store maybe just bring it up and ask. They may need to update your wishlist.

How offers are communicated seems to vary. Some people are surprised when they go in for shopping, some people get texts in the lines of "I have an XYZ bag available, are you interested?", others get calls. I got a call for my first offer.
Yes I’ve updated the wishlist like 3x via text. At first I was very specific assuming I would get exactly what I wanted (ha!), and then I added some options very recently when I realized that dream wasn’t going to happen. Lol

When you received a call for the offer was it shortly after hitting a certain quota and seeing the SA in person? Or did it come much after?

I’ve only asked once via text if I should be doing anything differently. We have a pretty nice relationship and I’m very new to this so I assumed asking was ok. She did not answer that question haha. I’m not a very pushy person b it was hoping to get a bag soon!

Weird, I was trying to quote the poster who posted about the scarves. Sorry - that was odd!

No, they were not put aside since my SA did not say anything about putting them aside for me. The other SA showed me their phone and said they didn't even have one available in the colors I wanted even though my SA said they were available.

What did YOUR SA say when you addressed this with him or her?

In the past, it used to be easier for offers. By and by, as covid is not really a thing, offers tends to go to customers with more face time.

While it's impossible to say definitively, there are probably a few factors at play.

First, I agree with @smoothsailor who said that face time is important. My SA and I do not really text and sometimes I will text her and she will not respond, but I know it's because they get very busy and have many customers and she just prefers in-person communication. I make an effort to go in and see her usually once a month or every other month.

Second, while I think one should only buy what one is truly interested in, spend across various categories is important. H wants customers who love the brand as a whole and I think buying across categories illustrates that.

Third, amount of spend is obviously important but it can vary from person to person, just depending on so many things (your rapport with your SA, the quantity of QBs they get in stock, competitiveness of the store, your wishlist, how they view you as a client, SM's rules for alllocations, etc.). 1:1 is obviously a healthy number, but the fact that it has been stretched out over a year or two may have an impact. FWIW, I was just under 1:1 when I got my first QB offer four to five months of shopping. I just got a phone call that something on my wish list came in.

Fourth, I do think that declining that popular K on your second visit may have hurt you somewhat, at least to an extent. When your SA offers you a QB, that means they had to go to the SM to vouch for you and the fact that you turned it down may make that SA more reluctant to offer you another bag without you developing that relationship strongly in the subsequent months. Was the popular K on your wish list or close to your preferred specs? I think if you're turning something down that isn't close to what you ask for, it really shouldn't hurt you. But if it was in the ballpark, it probably did hurt you. I don't think this means that you have to accept any QB that is offered, as I agree with the sentiment that you should only buy what you truly want, I think you have to balance that with the fact that the SA went out on a limb and you turned it down so that could, for better or worse, push you back to the end of the line.

Hello H Lovers, will it help me to get a QB if all of my purchases this year were shipped from other store locations? My home store does not have things that I want, so I had to pay my purchases first with my SA and shipped it to my home, but it's coming from other store locations. My watch, ready-to-wear, sneakers were all coming from other store locations. Thank you!:flowers:

It will help your profile but not as much as if the items had come directly from your store.

Will it affect my relationship with my SA and getting a quota bag if I visit another Hermes store while on vacation and end up buying a small item from another SA? If it will, do you just avoid visiting an Hermes store when you visit a city that has one? Thanks!

I don’t think small items would hurt. I did that while in Hawaii and my home store is somewhere else. My SA actually encouraged me to check out the H stores there when I told him about my trip.

Thanks for your suggestion! So in this case, should I return the watch and wait until I find something in the store? I know for sure that I will have a store credit and will purchase from my current SA later. Such a dilemma with current low inventory in the store:hrmm:

No, a return is the kiss of death. Your charge send purchases are fine and pretty normal these days. My only point was that it’s not quite as good as purchasing in stock items from your store. Your SA gets the commission either way (but your store doesn’t get the credit).
