Completely agree! I just started it out not long ago(November). It took me couple of purchases with different SAs before I’ve found my current SA whom I met at the beginning of January. Maybe my experience is a bit different hence it’s been really progressing since day one. She was really sincere and upfront with me as I am to her. I’m grateful that I met her. I hope for all newbies to find the right SAs too. It makes the process much easier and more enjoyable. :)
That sound great. But it took some relationship building before my SA will attend to the things I txt her about. Now she does reserve things for me when I txt her. So I’m not sure if it’s good to advise this to those who are new to their SA.

also, before I decided, I would have researched on all colour ways of the item. Usually no need for the SA to propose anything else. Not so good as that’s why I spend months waiting for the exact item to come into the store.

Just sharing how I spent my appointments for references….they are almost never to try things on. It’s a good 20mins to check stocks armed with product references readily for my SA to copy and paste into the app on her phone. Next few minutes to pack and make payment for items previously ordered or reserved. The rest of the time to ask sensitive questions.

when we are free, we measure ring sizes, wrist sizes, shoe sizes….so when there r stocks in my size, my SA can get those for me.

Don’t think this way is suitable way of shopping for one and all….but I am an online shopaholic. It is almost only Hermes that I made an exception to go to the store and spent an hour. Often I leave within 30mins.
THIS!! So, so helpful. Thank you !

Met up with my European SAs, both really nice appointments, they were in a chatty mood, no rush. Basically picked up almost all my request items put aside for me. (RTW, shoes, LE lipsticks, reserved some homeware pieces) and will go on for a repeat appointment in a couple of days. Have tried on a piece of fine jewellery which I am considering. Stock should be replenished soon.

Has anyone had a SA or dealt with a SA that claims he/she is still looking for a quota bag for you but gets the response “nothing has come in yet?” He says he has my wishlist and is looking for items on my wishlist for when they come in? Almost like he is deceiving me a bit? Backstory: met him in Jan 2020, during the pandemic of course so production is low but we hit it off famously right away as I was his last appointment that day and stayed over an hour even a little after closing just talking and made my purchases. He created my quota bag wishlist on my first visit without me even bringing anything up at all and showed me the big box of all the colors and hardwares. He even brought out someone else’s Birkin that hadn’t been picked up yet and had me try it on! It’s now Feb 2022 and he still claims he is looking for bags to come in. Albeit, my spend isn’t too high, and I do believe this store does not get a lot of shipments (I just don’t believe it’s a super high traffic store) but I feel like most SAs would actually be honest with you and tell you that you need to spend a little more here or there to get one. If I have not made a recent purchase, I ask him about bag shipments every 4-5 months or so and his response is always the same, no shipments of bags yet. Like in 2 years no bags of my wishlist have come in at all??? All I said was no to pinks, purples, and lime? I’m just curious if anyone else has run in to this and if anyone thinks my SA is being truthful or just leading me on? I feel like if one thing is true about Hermes, they are not shy about telling you to spend more. I just need to know if that’s what needs to be done.

Do you mean other items or quota bags?I’ve bought jewelry, shoes, and tableware from him but he has never shown me a quota bag that was available for sale. When he showed me the Birkin that was sold, he asked me if I have ever seen one in real life and I said no so he brought out that bag which was sold. Probably just to give it a try to see if I’d like it.

Not sure which country you are at and whether your SA is the pushy sort. If u didn’t spend enough, SAs who wanna “help” you will show u stuff to buy to boost your profile.

If you are in the USA it is somewhat rare for an SA to straight forwardly tell you to spend more. Expect to have spent at least $10k, and probably closer to 20 or 30 these days, before stock magically becomes available. This isn’t really leading you on but more of just how things are going these days with the number of customers and low supply.

I’m in the US but he hasn’t done that but he is definitely not the pushy sort. So maybe he doesn’t know how to tell me to spend more? I just thought it was a rare occasion to even bother asking for my wishlist on the first visit if he has no intentions of finding me what I want.

I am in the US and figured spend needs to be higher as well. I just don’t buy things that I don’t love either which is probably why it has taken me longer to increase spend. He’s very easy going and not pushy so maybe he doesn’t know how to tell me to spend more even in the areas he knows I love like Orans. But there’s only so many Orans a girl needs even though the colors are addicting lol.

Hi there! I imagine that part of the issue is you began shopping during the pandemic at a time when production was lower due to multiple lockdowns etc. As such, many well established customers with long histories didn't receive many offers either. When quota are more scarce, they tend to be allotted to high spend, long time H customers. Continue to go to boutique, buy items that you love along the way and eventually, that long awaited quota bag will be offered to you. Best wishes! :)

My thoughts exactly! I’m in no rush whatsoever but I was just wondering if there is ever such a time to move on to another SA if said SA isn’t doing much for you. I started my profile in 2018 but that was at two Vegas boutiques, when quota bags weren’t on my mind, and I live in Florida and needed to establish a relationship locally. I had a no H spend gap from after those 2018 purchases up until I met him in 2020.

@cmadtmifyb0623 ….did u make your purchases within a short period of time and have not been spending already?

I dunno if it applies to US, but I was told that SMs love customers who carry on purchasing regularly, showing they love the brand and consistency in supporting the brand.

I would say on average my spend with him is about every 4-5 months. I’m about an hour away from the boutique and he knows that so most of my spend comes from phone orders with him, not so much in the boutique which also stinks I don’t get to see him often.

I believe that these days, bags are more readily offered as “surprises” while already in store shopping, especially for newer clients. H doesn’t really care if you only like a small set of items, they have hundreds of clients who (unfortunately) are willing to buy whatever it takes to get the bag, even if that means a hundred pairs of orans. If you aren’t spending regularly and to the tune of the numbers I mentioned above, then unfortunately it’s not about the SA and switching will only reset you to zero.
