I recently broached the topic of getting a quota bag with my SA and he very seriously said we should put in the request ASAP because there's a long wait. We went through all of the specs on an app on his phone and when we were done, he said, "And now the request is off the Paris!" I don't think I've read of a similar experience from anyone else? I was under the impression that I was putting a request but he sure made it sound like I was putting in an order.
Are you in Europe i assume?

No, USA.

Is it possible this was a Special Order?

No, nothing was confirmed/specific. It just seemed a lot more formal of a request than in the past.

Context: I took a years-long break from shopping and when I came back to H, my old SA was gone so I had to start over, and I'm finding myself very confused sometimes about relationship building again, especially in a pandemic world with low stock!

SOs still involve paperwork. I highly doubt anything went to Paris. The SA was updating your wishlist, which I believe is boutique specific.
I figured so much. I once requested something with another SA (before I met my current SA) and he just put the request into Apple Notes so it was very fascinating for me to see the whole questionnaire.

Hi all!
I'm very new to the H world and have only been shopping for 4-5 months, the large majority with one SA.
Over the last few months I've made a few requests in person and email for 3-4 items in total (fine jewellery), and on each occasion was told that she'll put a request/note for when the delivery comes in store.

Is this part of the normal shopping experience at H? i.e. some sort of wait list in the store?

I've not paid a deposit so assumed that this is not guaranteed as I'm sure there are other customers waiting for these items too.

Completely aware that as I'm still a new customer and boutiques still having low stock I'm not a priority (tbh not expecting anything at all)! Just learning how things work in the H world.

TIA!
This has been a normal part of my experience. It sounds like they're either expecting it in, but they have no control over when it'll arrive. When it does, it'll be earmarked for you. Some markets will get things sooner based upon client interest, so try not to fret too much if you see it pop up on social media and still haven't heard anything. It seems you're aware there's things that might be outside of her control, but overall, her response is a good sign. It'll just take some time.

I mostly purchase with my SA but I ordered fr H.com for a shawl and now changed my mind. Will I go to the bad books if I return in store and get store credit? I would return via FedEx but I threw out the cardboard box. Will my SA still get the commission for using the store credit money?

IIRC, you need to return it back to H.com and the store will not accept. Simply get a new return label and return in new FedEx packaging.

I have purchased one pair of shoes and returned it for store credit. One the managers will have to approve it. They are not real fans of it (my personal perception) but if it doesn’t work then it doesn’t work. But they did accept the return in store

I might be overthinking but please tell me if I’m cheating? I started my journey in Hawaii. Walked in to the store and bought a non-quota bag. Then I decided to really start this journey last year and went to my local store. Bought another non-quota bag on my first local store visit, but didn’t feel like the SA and I clicked so I went to another SA for the rest of the year. She knows about my purchase history in Hawaii. Throughout the year I have shopped a few times but not enough to get a b or k. During the holidays, I tried to go to the store but the store appeared to be crazy busy and my SA will occasionally missed my texts. (Appointment only) I have asked about phone order and she just told me to order online. So I visited Hawaii again and got, again, another non-quota bag, which my SA could not offer me. Did I do too much switching around? Is this a big no no to do? In my defense, my SA has missed 4 of my appointments request texts.

I think in general if u r not getting a quota bag, just feel free to shop around and get whatever u can get from whomever.

If u want a quota bag, u got to stick to 1 SA 1 store and be guided by that SA.

In my case, I did ask my SA if it would hurt my profile after I get a non quota bag from another SA in another store. She said doesn’t matter as (in my country) non quota bags are not counted towards getting a quota bag.

I’m in the US and I think all non QB still count towards the B/K. And from what I heard, SA gets comm from everything that you purchase except QB.
Please correct me if I’m wrong TPFs :)

I am also based in the US, more specifically on the west coast. I would say it differ by store or SA if non quota bag count towards B/K. I was told by my new SA that leather does not count at their store. If you shop at a competitive store, most likely a non quota bag will not count. It would be best to check with the SA

Yes, I have also heard that SA gets commission from everything except for QB.

So glad you asked this question because I was wondering about the switching between SA's as well. My situation is related but also different. I have only JUST started my journey and created a profile with an SA of my "wishlist" bags (one of them a Birkin the other a Constance) at one of the 3 locations in NYC. While the SA seem like a good fit, the store itself is pretty threadbare and I'm contemplating taking a look at the other 2 locations? Am I already getting off on the wrong foot if I end up buying something at the other 2 stores and not the ones my SA works at?

Hi,
I’m also in NYC and MP is my main store. IMHO, it’s not easy to find SA that you would constantly clicked (To me at least). I’ve been shopping at Madison at the beginning but I’ve never found SA that I feel like a good fit for me plus the vibes pretty intimidated there. Yes Madison is the main store in NYC hence much more inventory and I wish I could have found myself SA there but since I’ve found my amazing SA at MP, nothing but great experience and I got everything that I’ve ever asked for from my SA. My wishlist is still there and she’s giving me a hint and tell me to be patient. B/K eventually will be offered. If the SA likes you and you work well together, everything possible.

Then again, you can try different locations and SA to see which is suit you better.

good luck darling! H game is fun to play!
