For advice on how to obtain a B/K/C please go to the reading room in the Reading Room The Newbie's HOW DO I GET A BIRKIN (or other bag) Reading Room

For advice on how to shop at your local store please do a search in Hermes Shopping sub-forum and look for your store/region/country.

I not only had my SA recommend that I only shop with her, but while visiting another store in the same city the SA asked me if I had a home store. And I said yes. So she strongly advised me to just shop with my SA. I was looking around and around and I saw something I liked and again she said, “ask your SA to source it for you. It is better for you that way.”

I have also had this experience, albeit very early on, in domestic boutiques.

I wasn’t offended by the comment at all— and I def have this kind of relationship w her where we joke and stuff. She did say at some ooh t I am happy to look for anything for you big or small .. I think I was kidding myself thinking I was buying little trinkets but it was like weekly x 4-5
I mean if you think about Hermes in general — it is def oitside the norm of any store .. where can you never see a bag like B or K and can’t buy at will (for regular non celebs )?
i just chalk it up to one of those idiosyncrasies and am amused by it

Am I the only one who thinks this SAs comment was inappropriate? Yes, it may all be in your file, but where and when you buy...your business. If her point was, "I'm happy to help locate things for you...", I think she could have conveyed that much more tactfully. Especially during a pandemic, there are all kinds of reasons one may need to buy online. I certainly don't think you need to feel badly or ashamed about how and when you spend with Hermes!

Hi all. Just quick question, is it a no no to turn down an item that you have asked your SA to hold for you? So far all items i asked my SA to hold for me i take. Except for this time i asked her to hold a blanket for me, but after talking to my husband, he doesn’t want the blanket. So i texted my SA back to tell her to release it and apologize. But i got no response from her :(. The day before i actually came in and bought two pairs of shoes that i asked for, and random cashmere scarf that i saw in store with her though. Am i in her bad list now?

No it's totally fine. Obviously don't make it a habit or else the SA won't want to hold items for you in the first place. But it's totally normal to not want something after wanting it initially.

Of course not. You are totally fine. People change their minds all the time. its not like you purchased and want to return for no reason. as to why no reply, I wouldn’t worry about it; she got busy. at one point, I thought H had a policy to keep work phones at work, so maybe thats it, IDK

Girl, she probably didn't respond because she was too busy trying to sell it to another one of her clients that might have been elated to have it or were also asking for it before it got sent back into regular store inventory! I wouldn't worry about it.

Don't know if I'm posting this question in the right place, but I was recommended a lovely SA at a local boutique and I've met with her twice already. Was going to bring up adding a Birkin to my wishlist but got nervous so I didn't. Is it too soon to bring it up by the third meeting?
I think it is totally reasonable to bring up your interest in a Birkin by the 3rd appointment. If it makes you feel better, my request came during the 2nd appointment. My recommendation is to be honest and to the point - you are the customer and well within your right to make the request. Don’t be nervous just be yourself ;)

Thank you! I will definitely bring it up next time :)

I recently broached the topic of getting a quota bag with my SA and he very seriously said we should put in the request ASAP because there's a long wait. We went through all of the specs on an app on his phone and when we were done, he said, "And now the request is off the Paris!" I don't think I've read of a similar experience from anyone else? I was under the impression that I was putting a request but he sure made it sound like I was putting in an order.

Hi all!
I'm very new to the H world and have only been shopping for 4-5 months, the large majority with one SA.
Over the last few months I've made a few requests in person and email for 3-4 items in total (fine jewellery), and on each occasion was told that she'll put a request/note for when the delivery comes in store.

Is this part of the normal shopping experience at H? i.e. some sort of wait list in the store?

I've not paid a deposit so assumed that this is not guaranteed as I'm sure there are other customers waiting for these items too.

Completely aware that as I'm still a new customer and boutiques still having low stock I'm not a priority (tbh not expecting anything at all)! Just learning how things work in the H world. <3

TIA!

Yup. It’s considered quick if you waited less than months. Depending on wherever u r.

Is it possible this was a Special Order?
