I started my H journey from September 2021, and my SA joined the Hermes from September 2021 as well. So both of us are new to Hermes. Some people said I'm lucky, and I got a Picotin 22 and mini Constance till today. Recently she begin to (suggest) push me purchased RTW. Hermes RTW not fit me at all because of my size. I would like to score a Birkin early next year, should I purchase RTW or just ignore? I know people always suggest purchase what you like, but I feel this is a very competitive year because of inflation and limited stock
Its your money and nobody can or should force you to spend it on things you dont want.
I dont know where you are based but you have already done very well to purchase two sought after bags in such a short space of time.
Be honest with her about the RTW and suggest she finds you other things you will love and use.
A good SA is someone who understands the client and delights them with suggestions of things they never thought of but find they love.

Hello! I see the items that I was looking for online. I asked my sa if she can get them and she says it’s sold out. I just want to get it online if I can get it that way but I am worried that my sa will be able to see my online purchases and get upset. Is there a good solution to this? Or the website is saying the items are in stock when it’s not? Thank you in advance for your help!

I think you can go to the boutique and ask the SA help you order the item online. Your SA will get credit by doing this as well.

You should just buy it online if you want it, and the SA is not making it easy for you or reluctant to order it for you. The SA might be able to see your purchase if it is somehow connected to you (phone number?) - maybe use your friend/significant other's information for the shipping/order. TBH I'm not really sure how they know your online purchases but I know other people have mentioned that in the past on this forum.

I don't think the SA will be upset. Usually the SA can order it for you, but if it's a small ticket item or you're not physically in the store when you want to order it, they're less likely to help because they're so busy. Popular items also disappear fast online, so you might not be able to order it later.

I started my H journey from August 2021, and my SA joined the Hermes from August 2021 as well. So both of us are new to Hermes. I know people always suggest purchase what you like, but I feel this is a very competitive year because of inflation and limited stock. Some resellers willing to spend thousands and thousands dollars on RTW, and make this game even harder. Some people said Hermes willing to offer the handbag to the people who truly love the brand, and I don't think this is the case. My feeling is the brand only offer the bag to people who willing to spend money on RTW, jewerly, and watch unless you are super lucky......

I think there is probably a need to segregate the brand values, the store values and the SA’s own values. They may not align all the time.

If I were in your situation, I will not get RTW for myself if I don’t like and they don’t fit. I might buy a t shirt for my husband if there is one I see that he might like.

Alternatively, if I have some money to burn on a scarf design I like enough, I might ask my SA if the house could tailor a top made out from the scarf. Might have to buy up to 5 pieces of the same scarf for a shirt. I think it could amount to similar price as a piece of RTW shirt anyway. I saw people do that. Of course, I don’t have all the details….but I might ask my SA next time when I’m ready. :)

I think you've gotten plenty of good advice here, but as someone pretty small I have actually gone and tried on RTW and so my SA saw very clearly that it won't fit me. I didn't do it to discourage the recommendations of RTW, but I think my SA has learned since that it's better to direct my interests elsewhere. You could try doing that as a "polite" way of showing her that RTW isn't going to work, but as others have said, you shouldn't feel pressured into anything regardless.

Thank you for your advice. I think I should get it if it’s still there.

When I first shared my wishlist with my SA (May of this year), she indicated that I would need to be patient and then asked if I liked ceramics! I do not and told her so. I have simply purchased the things that I love (lots and lots of silks and shawls and some SLGs) and worn them and carried my preloved B35 whenever I go into the boutique. Don't buy something that you don't love but, the items you love, buy them and wear/carry them. And, if you don't like anything other than leather goods, consider buying from a reseller...while I hate to promote that option, it might end up requiring an equivalent outlay of cash.

They can see your online purchases if your H.com profile has the same email address as your store profile. They’re still separate profiles, but when they look you up using your email address they’ll see both profiles.

Need Advice: should I switch my SA?

I have been with a SA for about 2 years, never been offered any quota bags but Constance 2 go, Mini Lindy. My spending on Jewelry, silk, shoes is about 7k so I started to ask for quota bags about 8 months ago. I haven't been visiting very often due to work tho.

My SA seems very busy and she is not too responsive. I have been asking for jewelry, shoes, RTW but she would respond at least 7-10 days after. She did not even try hard to locate items for me.

My friend is using another SA in another local store and advised me to switch to hers (since I only spend $7k so far) because the SA she is with is very responsive. She spent 15k in 3 months and got offered a B25 in Black. My friend said her SA would "100% offer you a bag when you spend enough". I am still very frustrating as I do not want to lose my spending in my current store (but was told that mini lindy and Constance to go would eat up my spending) and feel like I can never go back to my current SA if I switch.

What would you do if you were me?
