Hi there, I would like some advice on asking for non-quota bag from my SA.

I try to ask once every 2 months or so. The last round I made a purchase (end July), she firmly said no bags.

I worked up the courage to text her again and ask how she is and asked if she has any non quota bag which I am interested in.

she replied me and we shared about some news happening around her area and covid in general but did not reply me on my request for non quota bag.

I kinda end off the conversation with photos on how I use my last purchase.

Is she purposely ignoring my request? Or I have to keep going to ask every now and then?

appreciate some advice, thank you!

What is the bag?

I asked for either Evelyn 16, picotin 18 or lindy mini.
Those bags are nearly as popular as BKCs at the moment and there is very little stock. I think she's gently letting you know she has nothing in right now. What have you purchased to date and how long have you been shopping? I would continue to shop and in a few months remind her again of your wishlist. August and September aren't the best times to ask for new stock.

Those are all very popular and I haven't even seen them on display at all in the past months in my store. They are usually brought out to specific clients. Most likely there is just no available stock to offer you at the time. They honestly might be even harder to get than some quota bags depending on size and color.

exactly this.. all these 3 bags are on "offer" basis right now bc of low stock and hi demand. My SA just message me if I was interested in TPM or P18, so I am sure SM are now only assigning bags similar ways of BKC

Also, if you are long distance and the bag would need to be shipped to you, she may be saying she can’t ship them as that is pretty normal policy.

I was in a similar situation. She did check the stock at the back for me but told me she only has it in black. I was asking for a Lindy 26.

I still haven't got it so I will either try getting it from the website or make more purchases to build that relationship.

I have bought a belt, 3 Twillies and a wallet. Have shopped with her for maybe 4 months. If it’s really a matter of time, it’s no big deal. Not expecting any bkc from her. So, just wanna purchase what I truly like.

thanks for everyone’s replies….

Newbie here so would love to share my first experience and get your expert thoughts on how I can move forward

Today I went into the H boutique in my city for an appt. I booked a reservation online noting that I did not have an assigned SA and would like to work with one moving forward. I came about 15 minutes early, to which the security guard let me in the store, told me that he would notify my assigned SA and then I walked around for about 20-30 minutes browsing. Eventually a SA approached me and asked me if I was waiting for another SA. I said I’m not sure, I made an appt online without an assigned SA. She said no problem and took my name and checked in me for my appt and asked me what I was looking for. I told here I was there to purchase a pair of shoes, to which we went to the area and I told her what style and size I was looking for. She brought out a pair for me to test but also brought out some other shoes and we spent about 15-20 minutes trying on different styles. Eventually I decided that I would buy the shoes I originally came in for and that I would want to think a bit more on the other pair she recommended. I also asked about the boots they had out and noted that I was interested in buying those in a couple of weeks. She was very understanding and not pushy and said take some time to think and began to ring me up on the shoes I purchase. We talked a bit at checkout about my work, my bag, and my tastes and she eventually handed me a card. I told her I would be reaching out in a few weeks for the boots and maybe the other pair of shoes she showed me.

I’m planning to send her an email or text in about 3-4 weeks to come in for the boots. Would you recommend I do anything else to help establish a relationship? I do not want to “force” a relationship, but I did enjoy working with her. We were not buddy buddies persé but I liked how business focused and helpful she was and I think she warmed up a bit after I decided on the shoes.

i’m like over thinking and complicating things but would love any suggestions or recommendations on what has worked for you all!

You called it. You’re overthinking it. Just send a note saying thank you for the great service and that you look forward to connecting with her again about the boots.

Sounds like a "catch" SA ;) I'd just text her about the boots and tothank her for great service. In my experience, they prefer short and sweet, but polite messages. They're usually busy between a lot of clients, some of which are probably quite demanding/pushy, so the more to the point and easy going you are, the better.

It's crazy though how much second-guessing there is about Hermes SAs... Just a month ago, I had a near meltdown because I was so worried that I upset my SA (I didn't). Fortunately, purseforum came to the rescue of my crazy mind ;)

Enjoy the brand and the shopping.Their items are so beautifully made, and personally I love the shopping experience. Have fun!

Couldn’t say it better. @vivian0o, cravin’s suggestion is the perfect pro light touch that establishes the relationship without putting any pressure, not even you regarding the boots.
