Today my lovely SA and I had an open heart conversation, where I could pretty much ask her anything about quota bags.
I met her 3 years ago and she got me my first quota bag only 1 month after we met with quite a small purchase history. We really have a cool, friendly and super-easy relationship. She has always been really open on how to get a bag. She never pushes me to buy anything I'm not 100% sure about.

Of course I asked her about quota bags and she told me that for my boutique, as a local customer (not sure if applicable to the whole country): it's 2 quota bags per year per customer, however this rule does not apply if waiting to receive a Special Order.
I am waiting for a SO to come in a few months.. so she told me that after that I will be able to get a new bag.

We also discussed about the wish list and we updated it with my preferences. Wishlist can have 1 B/K/C bag with a choice of 3 different colors. Not sure about the hardware but I specified Rose Gold, Gold and Palladium depending of the color.

I know other SA's I met in other boutiques in my country won't be as open as my SA. They would be vague or worse, they would lie, which I can't stand.
I am glad you have an SA who tells it to you straight. It’s very stress-free right? I do appreciate it when I am given clear information by my SAs and a yes/ no/ likely at this point of time answer. In return I try to be as upfront as possible and also to never compromise their trust. :flowers:

Hi. Thanks for the Information . May I clarify something, please? The rule doesn’t apply for those waiting SO as in we can only have a bag after our SO is delivered or we can only put in a wish list after the SO? Thank you.

think the SO does not count toward the annual limitation of 2… like u can still get 2 quota if ur SO also appears the same year

my first SO came in earlier this year. I placed it in Fall 2020. When I received it, my SA was very clear with me that it was my first quota bag of the 2 I could get this year.

YMMV, but in the USA, I was also receiving quota bag offers prior to my SO arrival. If I would have taken one of those, and then my SO arrived, I would have used all my quota in that case...I have heard of exception approvals if SO comes in very late in the year to provide it to you as a 3rd bag, but very much the exception and I'd imagine its more motivated by/if your store is trying to get to their year end sales goals. I've never personally experienced it so don't want to quote it too much.

good to know! maybe what I was told/read is more the exception than normal.

In my store, you can only get a bag after a SO is delivered, but the wishlist can always be worked and reworked

Every store is different in regard to this and I believe this member shops in Europe. For most US stores, awaiting a SO arrival has no bearing on quota bag limits. When a quota bag arrives and is purchased, it counts as one of your two bags for the year. If you’ve already received two bags for that year, technically the store is supposed to hold the bag until January 1st but many/most stores grant an exception and allow you to purchase it immediately as a third bag for the year.

I recently started my H journey and visited the store for the first time. I had a nice appointment with an SA, asked for a Picotin and she gave me one i the specifications I wanted. We had a pretty good cadence with our conversation, talking about our kids and her upcoming purchase of a home. After my visit, I emailed her a few days later to inquire about coming in to look at a few more bags (I ended up purchasing them online) and some jewelry. She never answered me. I want to come in for another appointment, but I'm wondering if I should to try email her again, or text, or if I should move on to a different SA since she never answered me the first time?

I think it’s too soon to give up, honestly. My SA will go without answering some of my texts for a few weeks and other times she will be quick and chatty. But in your case, you have to give the relationship time to organically develop. You just started. Your SA might be swamped or on vacation…. I would try to stop by the store to say hi and see how she’s doing. Maybe have a transparent conversation and ask her what is the best way to communicate with her. Ask her how you can accommodate her communication style. She might appreciate that. I think you should give it sometime. My SA told me that some of clients will introduce their friends to her but out of 10 only 1 or so will stick around. And I asked her why. She said because they are all in a hurry to either get a bag or to get other items as fast as they can. She said she can’t keep up and they leave her. Wishing you all the best in your journey

Hi,
I am by no means an expert, and I’m new to establishing a relationship with an SA. But, for me, I met someone at a store a couple of hours away (the closest one to me) and let them know what I was looking for. She was really nice and text me with her number even though I didn’t buy anything. A week after I met her I told her that I would be coming in a couple of weeks from then and asked her please let me know if they have anything I’m interested in. She didn’t respond and I thought that it was probably because I didn’t buy anything. However, a week later she responded and asked me what I was looking for. I told her B/K, Picotin 22 or 26 and some other things, and she said she would keep me in mind. 3 days later she texted me that she has the Picotin 22. She is super nice and I almost gave up hope on her. I get my Picotin tomorrow, and hope that at some point I’ll get some other things from my wish list like my B/K. But either way, I think I got lucky. good luck!

It is always soo good to be able to have an open discussion with your SA.
But I am surprised that your store can apply this particular rule in such a small country. The other stores do not apply it for sure. And constance are not quota bags. As with anything H, it always depends..

The good news is your SO should arrive soon. The store cant exclude loyal clients waiting for their SO for 2 years..

I am new to H Journe, met a nice SA in Hawaii during the recent trip. Should I continue to purchase from her to try to go to my local store and build relationships with a local SA? I don’t think Hawaii store could ship bags now….but I want to build history to a quota bag. Appreciate your feedbacks.
