My SA knows and used to try to offer me quotas on my bday/anniversary/etc. when we were getting to know each other, but I asked my SA not to do that anymore as I don't prefer to shop like that. It felt like I was only offered something because of the bday/ anniversary/ etc. timing, and while the offer was in my general wheelhouse, it wasn’t necessarily on my wish list. My SA knows my preference to offer me my wish list bags at any timeduring the year, no pressure for special occasions.

Just my personal preference, of course.

Now let’s see whether your SA will find some legacy leather lingerie for you that happens to show up around your husband’s birthday ;)

My SA told me that the only bags they do not receive commission on are the B and K. I am in the US so I am not sure if that varies by region. He said he gets commission for all other bags including the Constance.
Good to know!

Does anyone know if SA also get commission for Kelly to go or Constance to go? Is it based on country or store? Thanks!

I have an online column for a popular business magazine. I am thinking about writing an article about what entrepreneurs can learn from H. This is less about "the game" and more about craftsmanship, relationship-building, exclusivity, etc. Everything around Hermes is so hush hush in store, would doing something like this be looked down upon/would I never get a B or K again? I'm a loyal customer and would never write anything distasteful, I just think this would be a great piece for my business column and my readers.

You are wise to be cautious. Your caution should ensure that you do not write anything which would be of concern to Hermes. It seems that you want to focus on the aspects of Hermes that enthusiasts like.
'The Game' which has no rules is not an Hermes marketing device; it is something that pundits have tried to deduce.

Can someone clarify if it’s now policy for SAs to not give out their phone numbers and it’s email only?
It may depend on what territory you're in. They're certainly trying to direct people to email, but I've had SAs calling me from their work mobiles this week, with numbers displayed.

Along the lines of prior question about bag commission, but more broadly - do you find that you are more or less likely to make purchases at other Hermes stores when you are traveling? We have some upcoming travel to cities with much bigger H stores and so I'm so tempted to see what they have in stock (not quota bags, since that's a whole separate process) but then I also feel like I should be disciplined and keep all my H dollars at my home store :) and would also feel a little badly showing up to see my SA with a bag she didn't get for me. Or perhaps the SAs are all inundated with sales requests at the moment anyway, and don't take it personally?

i don’t think they take it personally. I buy from different stores and it’s ok.That said, I’ve been advised to consolidate my orders at one store if I want a quota bag. If you don’t want a quota bag, then I guess you can buy from any store you want!

My SA actually told me to try my luck in another store while on vacation especially store in high tourist locations like Hawaii (which is where I’m going). He told me that sometimes you can get lucky! And I recently got one of my wishlist items a b30 from my SA! So I think it depends on how your Sa feels. Cuz my SA knows I shop at both Madison and MP now since Covid. And my SA at MP is aware I shop at Madison because I was honest and transparent about it.

Ade you after quota bag offers? If so, best to only spend with one SA at one store. There are ones who don’t mind but there definitely are ones who do mind, which has been shared by others in a thread specifically about traveling and purchasing elsewhere (or was it online?) that is somewhere in this sub forum I think. Anyways there were comments of SA/SM telling a member that they would prefer “to have the opportunity to serve you first”. Which to me means “please try to give your sales to me first”. So unless you know for sure your SA doesn’t mind, you may want to err on the side of caution. You can always ask your SA and see what they suggest.

FWIW at my store apparently my SA doesn’t mind but my SM does. So, I try to purchase through my SA and tend to just browse when I’m traveling (within the same country).

I’d nuance it by saying it depends how rare the item you see while traveling is. If it’s something your SA could easily find for you, get the reference number and ask them to find it for you. If it’s a rare piece you really desire that is unlikely to get a transfer, get it where you find it.
For the Pegasus, which I really really wanted, I purchased from another SA at my home store because my SA was not available that week, and they were flying off the shelves (pun intended).

I wondered about Hawaii. I hear so many first time customers getting lucky for a quota bag but wasn't sure if they had preexisting H relationships.
