I have had a relationship with a local SA for over 2 years. I had to move out of State to a place where there is no Hermès. I had to rely on a remote relationship but she was not engaged. Disappointed and I am kinda mad, to be honest. I spent a lot of time and money with her. Annoying.... anyway... I am moving again but this time to Vegas and I am looking for a SA there so I can build a new relationship locally again.
good luck on your move!
I am also in a state that does not have a H store, so it def takes a lot more patience and self control with a remote relationship.
But I think you are moving to the right City with Vegas having 3 H stores! i started my relationship in Vegas last October, i have read all SAs are great in Vegas.

Congrats to your move! Vegas is so fun! I would probably start a relationship at the new Wynn store. They just opened so their also starting up new. Probably will be a win win for you especially if the SA’s are newer and building their book of business versus one that has a lot of VVIP’s.

Ps patience this year may be months instead of weeks before you get another offer. Sucks . Darn COVID!

Thank you!!! In fact, I never got an offer. :-( I used to go to the Costa Mesa store in California and that store was a zoo. Probably a lot of competition

Also, check out the Vegas store thread for tips on people’s experiences with the stores and SA.

I have not been to the Costa Mesa store in a long time. What do you mean when you say zoo? It's overcrowded & busy or unorganized?
It’s always very crowded and there are SO SO many tourists!!! I stopped going in there on the weekends and I would only go on a Mon or Tue. I thought I was staying where I am now and started developing a relationship with a SA in Denver (remotely), I was blown away by her. I have been looking for a specific rose gold bracelet and every SA was dismissive, in the sense that they would look online and say “sorry, we don’t have it!” But this Other SA emailed stores in Europe and when all failed, she said: “Let’s put in a custom order request so we can get it from France.” Wow!! That is customer service!!! My only problem is that she said their store is tiny! I am afraid it will take me years before I am offered a bag!! Stinks lol

Denver actually seems to be one of the easiest stores to get a bag and is often overlooked. We have more than a few members on tpf who have remote relationships with the Denver store and get great offers. If you’ve got spending there and a great SA, I’d totally stay put and work that relationship rather than starting over at zero somewhere else.

I’ve just started on the H journey and was lucky to click with an SA I just spoke to on the phone. I bought a shawl last year just before lockdown and just a calvi and Bastia with her. The stores are closed for bags at this time. Does buying a Bolide count towards building value? That’s what I intend to buy next. I am not in any rush but would like to get a Kelly sometime in the future

Bolide does count but I was told by my SA that bags don't count as much. The other categories count for more.

Unless the relationship is remote to begin with, I can see where it might take more than a couple years relationship before a SA would hang in there with a client that moves away. So it likely wasn’t personal. It appears than many long-time SAs have a process.
