For advice on how to shop at your local store please do a search in Hermes Shopping sub-forum and look for your store/region/country.

Yes, after shopping for 1 year and reading this thread, i do know nothing is guaranteed.

My Sa would usually call me and ask if i would like to make an appointment to come in and view some new items. Each time, he would say I remember your wish list but there aren’t any at this moment. In fact, after my first shopping appointment with him, he was the one who asked if I have any bags that I like and he would write it down. I asked for a birkin 25 in black, etoupe or etain. Granted I know those are the popular combos so I have been patiently waiting. Plus I didnt want to push my SA too much.

At least I am glad with all my previous purchase history, those are the items I truly like. So I guess i will just have to patiently wait. Patience is hard

I second @DA Club’s response! Spending in RTW will definitely get you a bag sooner especially since you have spent $20k. There aren’t any guarantees in the H game, have you spoken to your SA about your wish list again? Is this your first bag? Perhaps be more flexible with colors/sizes? Inventory is very low right now across the board due to COVIF and b/k25 are very high in demand. Maybe revisit your wish list with your SA? If you are interested in only one bag versus creating a relationship with an SA and long term relationship with Hermes, than reseller is a better option because you can purchase the exact spec you want with no fuss. If you want to create and formulate a relationship than patience is a big part of the game. unfortunately it sometimes takes 6+months if the bag/color/size you want is a hot hot commodity.

After my first appointment, i had mentioned I was interested in a birkin 25 or mini constance. But no offers.

Throughout my one year with my SA, I’ve visited the stores 5 times. Each time, he would say I remember your wish list, but that’s it. So I’m pretty sure he knows.

I just remember this. While I was paying for my items, I noticed a birkin 25 on the back counter but it was for another customer. Couldn’t tell what color though since the writings were so small So I’m pretty sure they have bags but just not for me

Have you enquired about a B, C or K?
Possibly your SA has just been pleased to serve you and relieved that you are not another one of those customers scheming to be offered a quota bag.

It is always easy to be wise after the event -
but perhaps you should have been more proactive when your SA mentioned your wish list.
I realise that you didn't want to appear too pushy or entitled, however I would understand if you now feel that you have been played.
Despite the value of your spending, you have not (and I hate this term) developed a good working relationship with your SA.
The word 'working' is usually omitted on this thread, but that is what it is really about.
Some customers do develop social friendships with their SAs, but they would be a minority.

On the $20k, it was actually 2 bags. One picotin and one 2424.
What country are you based in? I think bags don't count toward pre-spend in some countries and are less favorable categories to warrant bag offers. This post summarized the process succinctly (and this too), but it of course varies by country and store so a country-specific thread might be more helpful! HTH!

Hi. Can you please elaborate what a good working relationship means? I'm kind of in the same boat where I don't want to be pushy with my SA. TY!

Cutie_angel, I think know how you feel. I haven't spent as much as you yet, but I recently watched a ytuber unbox a black B25 after getting I think 2 pairs of sandals, a pair of sneakers, a tee, and a CDC (costume fashion) bracelet, and she got offered it after only like 3? months. I think she said she got one more item before she was offered it (to be revealed lol), but I can't help but think she's so lucky (unless the last item was say fine jewelry or something, which would be in line with what I/we hear about it counting a lot).

Are you referring to Kat L on YouTube? I actually like her and thought she got lucky, but of course she still hasn't revealed the last item she got before being offered. I thought it was funny how she was about to turn down a B25 noir GHW because of the veins on her togo leather bag.

Can you tell us what you mean by "working" relationship?

Yes! hehe. I like her as well and though I don't know much about Hermes, from what I've read here about spend ratios and what are high counting categories to buy from, I thought she was so lucky too. Haha yeah, she's cute and genuine, huh?

Anyone heard of stories or experiences where a SA took your wishlist during your first visit to Hermes boutique to buy something inexpensive?! I have always wanted a Hermes passport cover so I plan on going in the store to buy one and I do plan on being bold and telling the SA about my desire to obtain a B hopefully this year. Bad idea?!

That's typically when they ask you about your wishlist, after first purchase you make. Doesn't matter if it's small or big. My sa asked me to text get my wishlist when I was checking out the first time I met her!

There is no rule or etiquette book which governs how one must act. No problem being bold and telling your SA what you want. Depending on your home store, however, you won’t get any traction with your SA until you spend a lot more. As an aside I love the passport cover too.

Oh wow really? I was under the impression you normally dont get asked for your wishlist until you have a relationship with the SA.. im glad to hear your experience!
