I am really not sure. I'm certain the ladies who can (and travel) got their bags in Berlin, Milan or Paris but I feel there could be a new wave of people less aware of H.
I'm saying that as I have seen so much LV and Gucci (also in Warsaw's preowned places), on Youtube etc. but no Hermes (or super rarely, I'm aware the wealthy ladies would have them) so maybe people buy what's available and also don't know the H game?
In London or even my town I stumble across H bags almost of the time (not only B/K but others as well).
I'd go with the advice given by guys here - go there, try to gauge what the mood is (you might be one of the first clients). I'm actually more interested in the Berlin SA lol (looking for B as my next purchase)
She told me they are open for B but K are not available at the moment. She also told me I need to get 2-3 other things so she can offer me one.

Wow. I got K32 in London just recently but they were super vague what's needed to get it and I bought 1:1 hoping for the best (as some say leather goods don't count). Might be easier to try scoring one in Paris? In any case please keep us posted. I found Warsaw's LV much more friendly than London so hope Hermes would be the same.

Hi all! I started working with a very lovely SA not long ago. She said my purchase history is looking pretty good, we are now just waiting for my B25 to show up. Two weeks ago, she told me that she is pregnant and it’s due in November (which I am happy for her). What do you do when Hermès SA is on maternity leave? How long is the average maternity leave? Since we are waiting for the B25 to show up.

You still have awhile. I wouldn’t worry too much. If your SA has said your purchase history is good, most likely you will be getting your B soon. I think H gives a very good maternity leave. It’s at least 3 months (could be 4) ... but not all SA will take all that time off... Maybe just ask her what the procedure is if you wanted to make purchases while she was gone? She will tell you what to do.

May I ask what your SA considers purchase history as looking good? I’m currently working on my carefully selected purchases, and was curious if there was a dollar amount, ratio of dollar amount, or just an array of different items that are looking good for a future B25?

TIA!

Thanks for your suggestion!! I am still new to this relationship, don’t want to give her the wrong impression

Hi. I think every store is different. For United States, it’s about 1:0.6-0.8 ratio, depending on the store location and what color you want for your B25. Most of time, high-end jewelry, RTW, shoes, and home stuff will help you with the purchase history. I also like to purchase something small in between the bigger item, such as twilly, scarf, fashion jewelry, and tableware.

Thanks! Yes, would be looking for a B30 in a neutral gray with GHW or noir with GHW which I am sure I may have to spend 2 times for every 1 B. Did you mean spending 1 time for every 0.6-0.8 B?

Yes, from what I’ve learned. 1:0.6-0.8 for one B30, depending on the store location, bag availability, and color.
I think the spend is less for a b30.. of course depending on color and leather (black probably having a higher spend)

Also, depending on your relationship with your SA and home store, first quota bag or not. For my first b30 I only purchased 2 rodeos. But for my b25’s I had to spend more. The first b25 was around .6 and the second was muuuch less. So I think it really depends on your Relationship with the SA and the store.

Thanks for the info! I guess that makes sense that as you become a more established customer, the amount spent to get your next bag would be less.

I know if I did not read up on expectations in these forums, I would buy a bunch of bags with the hope of a B or K - not knowing those may have not counted towards quota bags. I’ve read many places that leather goods and silk goods don’t count as much as other departments.

Yea I agree :) it really depends on the color and leather. Wow! You SA is amazing! Offered you a B30 with 2 rodeos purchased!! I have a friend had already spend 0.8 and still waiting for her black K25 since February. Her SA told her it’s just really hard to come by. Do you have any suggestions? You definitely have more experiences than us. Thanks!!

Not that’s much experience.. although lately I’ve been having “more experience” than my wallet can handle :graucho: I have learned a ton from this forum and I have a very open relationship with my SA.

Kelly 25’s are extremely hard to come by, especially selliers. Harder than b25 ( according to my sa) ... they come in the store, but because SOOO many people want them and are willing to buy looooooots of stuff for them, competition is stiff. In my store it is better to buy a a bunch of stuff all together at checkout vs spacing out your smaller purchases over time. It makes it easier for the SA to submit you as a client to the director, and say “hey look what my client is willing to buy” .. bonus points if you happen to be in town or close to the store (as a lot of us travel for H) stick with RTW, shoes, homeware , fine jewelry ( of course)... but I hear there is also a push internally to buy ceramic jewelry like clic h bracelets etc.., shocked by that one too.. but that makes it easier.

Hope that helps!

Definitely depending on store and timing but I wouldn't be surprised that much spending (even if all in RTW/home/fine jewelry) would not be enough for a noir K25 Sellier. There are just too many strong buyers and many of them are not asking it for their first bag.

I guess what I'm saying is that for some stores it's a lot easier to wish for that as a second or third bag. Or prepare to spend a lot in a short amount of time.
