I really don't care at all where the box is made. I don't wear or carry the box; I wear/carry the bag/wallet/coin purse/etc. :)

So it can mean that there was a mistake about the sticker on the box? Is it supposed to be the same?Made in Italy wallet, then Made in Italy for the sticker outside the box or it really doesn't matter?!

It could be that (a) the box is made in one place and the bag another, (b) the box and the bag aren't a match (this is frequently the case at department stores and even Chanel boutiques give the wrong box that doesn't match the bag upon occasion), or (c) there was a mistake about the sticker (I find this the least likely scenario). In any case, it really doesn't matter about the box; for classic flap bags, you don't get a box with the sticker anymore, so there is no worry about where the box is made. :)

I think I have received the wrong box for jewelry/belts/bags about as often as I have received the correct box. Usually, they just grab the first box they see, which doesn't match the item. I don't find this to be a big deal, as again, I carry the item, not the box. :)

Thanks for the reply! Appreciate it😊

I just brought my very first chanel! A black caviar WOC from bloomingdales made in spain. When inspecting the serial sticker inside however, i noticed some glue residue holding the sides of the pocket together. This surprised me since I would have assumed the bag would be held together by stitching. Is there visible glue in all WOCs? I can't help but wonder if this is because it was made from Spain?

In had glue residue in one of my flaps that was made in France. I just rubbed it off.

I don't own a WOC, so I can't speak for those, but I can provide an analogy with fine furniture. Some is held together using tenon and mortise, and some is held together using nails or screws. Besides the main method, often glue is used to strengthen the bond, a sort of double protection as it were. I would imagine the use of glue in leather products might be a similar sort of protection or backup, but you'd really have to research the making of bags by Chanel to truly find out. I hope you enjoy your new WOC! :)

Mine is Spain too with glue on it that I thought was caviar leather that was rubbed off. Had a whole thread about it. It's from the leather process.

My WOC is made in France and it's a silver colour not black.

Just purchased a black caviar quilted WOC GHW and it's "Made in France."
A33814 Y01864 C3906 (rigid caviar) :sneaky:

Would you mind if I ask dear: How puffiness of quilted leather on your WOC made in France? I noticed the one made in France WOC is not that puffy but kind of flat..compared to Made in Italy woc somehow..That's why with the one made in France, we can handheld better. The thickness of Made in Italy is kind of thicker as we already saw.
TIA!
