Made in Italy vs Made in France vs Made in Spain

For my experience, some lambskin vintage Chanel bag which is made in Italy is more softer than the bag made in France.

Roey and I have been trying to figure this one out. Chanel bags are made in both Italy and France. I have been trying to figure out from SAs and other tPF members what is going on with that and can't come to any conclusions. Even some bags from the same ligne come from both countries. Maybe I will get an answer from the Chanel reps on Friday at their trunk show.

It doesn't matter to me. But I have always been curious if there is a difference in styles, or what determines where they are made. Anyone know?

Not at all, both Italy and France or legit. The only way you would know for sure if its fake if the bag is Made in Paris.

It doesn't matter to me at all. I have a few of east/west bags in lambskin and I noticed that the basic color (black) was made in France, but the seasonal color (red, coral) were made in Italy.

All of my classic flaps were made in France. My small diamond stitch tote was made in Italy. So I don't know for sure how Chanel determines which collection should be made in France or Italy.

I am curious to know if the quality is the same on all bags or the French bags are better or the Italian made bags are better. Can you tell?

I just bought a luxury flap in black and the silver plate says "made in France" is that normal?

Yep, Chanel is made both in France and in Italy. This one really has me and roey stumped. There is no rhyme or reason as to which bags are made where.
