LV x Kusama Collection 2023 - what to buy??

I think you should get the bag that you see yourself actually using. “Different” is not always good, especially if you have an established preference for your bags and how you use them.

I go back and forth between small and large bags (one season I love one size, the next, another size). The one thing that stays consistent is my preference for shoulder bags -long or short. If a bag is purely top handle, I will use it only a handful of times before letting it go. I avoid strictly top handle bags now.

If you know you don’t use bigger bags, don’t get neonoe -because when will you actually use it?

As for the keepall 25, I actually like the overall design of the bag. I think the pumpkins look better on brown mono, but they still look good on the gray mono. I just don’t like how bulky the bag is on me. If you see yourself getting more use and joy out of the Keepall 25, get it.

I agree with this. The only reason to diversify your collection is if there’s an obvious “gap,” when you keep finding yourself thinking, ‘I wish I had a bag that ____.’ If your gut feeling about the NeoNoé is, “What would I do with a bag this big?” and not, “This would be great for ___!” then stick with the Keepall. Heck, get another Speedy if you’d get more use out of it. I just bought a second small puzzle from Loewe because it was a totally different colour and motif on a bag I already knew worked for me.

Which one should I keep? I know many don’t like the monogram handles but I prefer the blues against the grey canvas. I don’t personally favor the orange toned version. And yes the strap is from keepall xs. I like that the pumpkins are unobsured but not sure if it looks too wide on 5’2” petite me. I like that the keepall is a more proper bag and a more classic LV shape. However if I stay with the pochette voyage, I could use the difference in budget for a preowned Galaxy pochette voyage which also includes an insert that can convert to a purse. Same issue would apply about being wide though.

I’d also go Keepall here, for the two reasons you said - it feels more like a “real bag,” and that’s partly because it’s a classic LV style. Not having endless funds, I’ve preferred to focus my small collection on fun versions of classic LV models. And honestly, I still liked the bag when I put it on and took photos! I was just lucky that there was both a different pumpkin bag and a different Keepall 25 that I liked more and were available.

I just bought both of these. I don’t usually add straps to my pochette voyages so it’s hard to say which to keep. Which you think you will use more?

I would say, purely on aesthetics, keep the Keepall. I think the pumpkins look nicer on it and it doesn’t look strictly like a utilitarian bag. You can carry it both by the handle and crossbody (that’s a personal preference for me).
Aesthetics aside, I always recommend to go for the bag you know you will use the most.

The NeoNoe was not seriously on my radar, and after seeing all the comments about the pumpkins looking nicer in women's collection I had half made up my mind to get the pumpkins speedy 20! However I managed to just take a quick visit to the store to try the bag shapes as I have never tried the neonoe or keepall 25 in real life before. They didn't have the pumpkins ones but I got to try other prints.

Initial reactions:

Neonoe - bigger than what I thought it was from the photos! My gut was like, okay I don't want such a big bag.

Keepall 25 - Different from my speedys (which I already have 2) and can probably fit more and things of different shapes (my VCA receipt can't fit in my speedy 20 LOL). Wasn't loving the men's strap but that can be changed easily.

Asked the SA for his honest opinion - first he thinks that the keepall is different from my speedys, it's more different. Should consider. BUT he thinks I should get the neonoe because it's more different from the other bags I already have. Which is true - I have mostly "small" bags - but that's what I use nowadays except when I go to the gym/yoga (which is everyday, but I'm probably not carrying the pumpkins to the gym when I know I will sweat )

I'm so conflicted now!!! The neonoe would be different but I'm not sure how I feel about the size and shape!

Bottom line the SA said: decide quick, because it will all be gone soon. The bandeaus are not orderable anymore!

I say get the Keepall. You seem to know what you like/need and your previous post said you like the speedy (or at least enough to have two). The Keepall is different enough from a speedy but also in a format similar to what you like.

I'm in Singapore. To clarify - the SA said that drop 2 (in particular the pumpkins) is selling very well, much better than drop 1 which didn't sell as well. I was in Japan the week of launch (but only got to a big city and visited the store on Apr 9) - and they didn't have the speedy 20 pumpkins nor any YK bandeaus any more by then. Visiting London in a month and the 3 bags I listed are all on preorder! (Well and now the speedy 20 apparently can't be ordered anymore online!) They also said the YK Romy is completely sold out (along with the pumpkins bandeau).

Thank you for all the inputs, these really, really helped I *almost* wanted to buy the NeoNoe for a different bag and a bag in monogram pumpkins (I agree the contrast is nicer) BUT this has helped me rationalise that I may not get much use out of the shape my large bags that can't fit a laptop hardly get any love nowadays post-covid. Pre covid when I still went into the office daily my bags would get rotated a lot more. The other time I use large bags are when travelling - but the lack of zip on the neonoe is a no no for travel.

I have decided to get the Keepall 25! I do think the colour and look of the speedy 20 pumpkins is nicer, BUT I already have 2 speedys AND the keepall has no vachetta at all which will drive me less crazy as the bag ages and it's still a similar-yet-different shape. Easier to justify having it in my collection I forsee myself using other straps with it more than the strap it comes with. Now comes the waiting game, as it's on preorder! (preordering it ahead of my UK trip as it'll be much cheaper than in my home country even without VAT refunds post-brexit. Hope it actually arrives before my trip LOL if not I'm in trouble )

Sure! I use the Hobonichi A5 Cousin. Fits perfectly, very tight though and has some weight because it is a daily calender with additional monthly and weekly pages! But I love me daily pages for journaling (not pretty journaling though… )!

Just picked up my new Kusama purse from the store just now! I had to get them to place the order and pull it from another store but it was just a few days wait. I thought I was safe from this year’s collab until I saw the flowers . Had to get the matching perfume bottle as well. She will join my other 2 pieces from the last collab ❤️

I didn't get a Kusama Keepall, it was the one from the Room with a View collection that came out before Christmas. Funnily enough, the Kusama Keepall is/was part of the painted dots line, which I had zero interest in at first ... and here I am now, regretting not having a dotty piece. I don't think I'd be interested if they were just printed on normally, but the 3D effect is fabulously realistic. Problem is I'd want a bag and that would be another ~£2000. It's April and I've bought five designer bags this year. I need to stop lol.

I am considering one of the silk flowers squares. Thing is, the whole reason I didn't order in the first place was I'd already spent a lot on the collection. Need to remind myself that a month later, that reasoning still applies haha.

(From the pumpkin line I got the NeoNoé and cosmetic pouch. On top of those from the first drop I got the infinity dots Kirigami and an Alma BB, then four assorted scarves and bandeaus across the two drops. I love Kusama ...)
