LV x Kusama Collection 2023 - what to buy??

Hi, a friend of mine got the Speedy and took pictures for me. We are confused as to how they are attached (or not) as well. As far as I can tell and I am by no means an expert, it would appear as though the flowers are initially silkscreened on the exterior. They then might have used a technique called "trapunto" quilting where they use a batting on the underside of the leather. They then stitch around the flowers on the outside to give then the raised look. Again, this is purely speculation on my part, but they are not patches that would appear to come loose! If anyone else has more information, we would be curious too!!

I was absolutely not interested in the flowers at alllll. But then I saw the capucines with flowers IRL and it’s all I can think of. These photos are giving me major “go to the store and buy now” feelings … but a part of me also feels too indulgent in buying a fifth Kusama bag… maybe the speedy is a good compromise…. Maybe I wait for the next collaboration…?

Well, this little piggy went to market (aka LV New Bond St) and bought way too much. Things I preordered and kept:

- the kirigami set from the first drop
- the pumpkin bandeau
- the mono pumpkin cosmetic pouch

Things I preordered but returned immediately:

- the eclipse Keepall 25
- the eclipse Marco wallet

Things I didn’t order but walked out with:

- the denim stole
aaaaaaaaand
- the pumpkin NeoNoé!

I am ordinarily not into the brown monogram at all and nor was I into the NeoNoé when I saw it online. But sadly, the pumpkins on the eclipse were less attractive than the photos and the little Keepall failed to spark joy. The handles are indeed stiff in a cheap(?) way. The NeoNoé meanwhile has satisfying large pumpkins, is almost pumpkin shaped, and squishes so nicely on the shoulder and crossbody.

I also ordered two non-Kusama things. Nooooo more purchases of anything until at least 2028.

Can you post a pic of the Neonoe? I think it’s gorgeous, pumpkins really suit it well!

I think it depends on which country you’re in. You can find it online on the US website. Someone else here, from Singapore, said it wasn’t on their country’s website, but was available to buy if you inquired with a CA.

Best thing to do is use the EU LV site. Write down the product number and contact your CA to see if an item is available in your country. You can also click the “find in store” button and type in your home country. It will then tell you which stores in your country have it in-stock.

Yes u r right. Thanks. This speedy floral bag is not available in Singapore n I did a bit of research n indeed it is available in LV's European online website.

I love the faces too but I couldn’t pull it off. I love the detail of the faces and they make me happy to look at. The fabric larger faces ontop of the mono really complete the bag for me too. I’m hoping I see someone wearing it out soon

I tend to dress quirky/eclectic so the faces will be fun to wear.

I really felt the same about the keepall handles. Why did they cheap out and change the handle and bands to monogram? I think it would totally have been a keeper if it were a normal eclipse monogram with leather detailing! I keep thinking about the speedy 20 from the ladies’ side though…

I didn’t *not* want to get a pumpkin bag. I love the print so much. I do feel guilty about keeping the cosmetic pouch because I only got it to have something in brown, a reason now invalidated by buying the NeoNoé. Maybe I’ll do that conversion thing for my girlfriend as she likes the print too. It easily fits a water bottle along the bottom and I think it’s quite cute as a bag.

Here are some photos, I was struggling to show anything more helpful than what’s already on the website! I do think it’s a great canvas (ha) for the print. Both strap lengths worked great for me at 5’3” and I also felt like the shape is good for me as a plus size person.

I've been lurking here since the thread started and I blame all of you for tempting me onto the Kusama bandwagon with your beautiful photos. I don't usually get speedy bags, and more surprisingly in the 20 size, but the blue colors seen in this collection were screaming out my name. I welcome with open arms my new pumpkin speedy (showing the blue side!) and the infinity dots speedy:



In regards to the blue Empreinte leather: Do you think I will have issues with the blue color transferring onto my light/white color clothing? I've had this happen to me when I was wearing a white top together with a Loewe bag (beautiful magenta color, lambskin leather). The color transferred onto my top but luckily the color came out mostly after a few washes. I am curious to know if this might happen with this bag.

I didn’t *not* want to get a pumpkin bag. I love the print so much. I do feel guilty about keeping the cosmetic pouch because I only got it to have something in brown, a reason now invalidated by buying the NeoNoé.
