I was told to take pics of my faults from the first wallet. I had a lovely CS who was most helpful, sent me a new returns label and followed up with phone calls and emails.

Ah I’m so happy you found a helpful person, now that’s what you call good customer service!
I suppose it is luck of the draw sometimes, the CS last week was lovely he didn’t ask for any photos though, oh she also said she would be contacting him because he should have! I hope I haven’t caused him problems.

I was just so taken aback when she started shouting!

sorry you had a bad experience, don't let it put you off- you are spending a ridiculous amount of money so it should be perfect and up to your standards! i've always had a nice CS on the calls, so you must have had an off one. Well your new order is in prep so that's great!! I think if after your 3rd it's still no good then go to a store... i have a feeling online they just resell the ones other people have returned and the cycle goes on....

Yeah maybe she was having an off day! I just hope I don’t have to deal with anymore issues, but you’re right it is a lot of money to spend so the item should be to that standard! I think you’re right and they must just keep resending the same bags out to customers hoping they’ll be acceptable to someone!

I’m not allowed out at the mo due to shielding so hopefully it’s third time lucky! Thanks for the advice

Me too. No more LV bags this year. I really hope I wont‘t get tempted by another price increase or anything like the Christmas collection... but SLGs are allowed, right?!
Congrats on finding a good one preloved! I tried the Jumbo in the store and it is a stunning bag- only the price is in no way justified
Last time I went to LV, picking up my repaired NeoNoe (all good by the way! ) I looked at the wave collection with the chains- because I like the pink leather with aged ghw. It’s pretty Chanel-esque...but somehow childish with the rainbow colors and the waved bottom. I only liked the new wave chain tote! But that costs 2150€ and honestly.. I‘d rather get a Chanel WOC for the money or save a little longer and buy fullsize Chanel bag.
So I believe that I will stick to Chanel when it comes to leather bags!

Everytime i buy a LV bag i end up selling it. The only ones that really "work" for me are the Neverfull GM as a diaperbag, PM mono as my daily bag and PA mono when i dont need to bring a lot of stuff. But i do love the SLGs they are my faves! Everytime i buy chanel im so much happier with the bag, and will never sell them, so im done buying LV bags for now. But indeed SLGS are allowed haha! I still need the Tp 15 and 26.
I have a WOC and i use it so much, a really good purchase. Did you try jumbo caviar or lamb/calf? Which colour hardware and leather do you prefer? I love caviar with gold and lambskin with silver. I do own a req mini lamb with "beige gold" it looks silver and gold at the same time its so versatile to style.

Any other girls here that are loving chanel bags?

Do they ask for proof of purchase etc and do they refuse to accept items which are bought preloved? thanks x

Maybe if you tell them you got it as a present it doesnt matter i think if you have a receipt? I dont think they will replace it but will fix it if you pay for it?

I went to LV for a repair of my 4key holder and my Neo Noe They asked to see the proof of purchase (although they could have easily checked my purchase history). So I showed them my receipts ...
Any other experiences anyone??

Yeah i forgot to mention in my post actually that if I were to say it was a gift and therefore don't have the receipt etc if this is still valid in their eyes for repair? I would think so right!

I can see that you prefer Chanel over LV when it comes to bags. They are just so much more expensive and wow: just the difference in the packaging! Obviously LV is doing something wrong How often do we get a piece in a box which is too large and the bag is bumping around in it.... Chanel does a fantastic job when it comes to wrapping up goodies! I am SO impressed! (I sat down, turned on music, had a coffee and unwrapped my gorgeous treasure) butterflies just from opening...
I tried a caviar jumbo shw/beige clair to compaire the beige to my coco handle. I dont really know what I prefer. All my LV bags are in ghw so I guess I am a golden girl

I don’t believe you need a receipt, however if it’s not authentic LV may retain and destroy it.

If you’re buying from VC they authenticate so no problem! In terms of replacing, without a receipt, I'm not sure they will do that, but should be able to repair (if repairable) for a fee.

Haha yes at this moment im really into chanel after stalking LV for weeks and learning some lessons the hard way about the brand. (Still loving LV though but the packaging is indeed so poor and i had so many quality issues) The packaging from chanel is a treat it is so nice to unbox your new item!!
The prices are unbelievable i got a medium classic last year in August for my birthday for like 4800 i believe, but i sold it because it was so unpractical with the double flap in that size, i sold it for like 4600 because there were some scratches on the inside and i wanted to get rid of it to change it for a mini rectangular. The dumbest thing i ever did because it sells for 6050 now. I should have hold on to it for a year and then sell it. Im never selling my Chanels ever again ! again learned my lesson.
Loving de beige claire colour but im so scared for colour transfer !! I would love to have a bag in that colour.
What is next on your wishlist?

If the item is authentic there should not be a problem. I repaired a bag once and i had to show the receipt because i went to an other LV store then usual but i think if you have a good relationship with your SA they wont bother to ask your receipt i guess
