Hi Ladies,

general question:
Do you have a Sales Associate you always work with?
Do you make appointments at LV before you go?
Do they reserve items for you?
I am curious because in the US it always appears like you have to have a „relationship“ with a SA to be able to get on waitlists and get htf pieces... The word „relationship“ feels a bit awkward in this case but do you have one?!

I have been trying to built up this connection with one SA for a little over a year now (I don't buy a whole lot) and I am keen on making appointments with this SA.
Did this ever help you in any case? Or are you always with a different SA?
Thanks!

It really takes some time to ship right now. My escale shawl was shipped almost a week after ordering, but then it came really fast, so they sent it overnight shipping even though I didn’t pay for it. My zoe wallet is coming next week, I ordered it last Friday.

wow, did you pay for overnight shipping for your zoe wallet? My issue is that it has been in an order processing stage since may 8th. I had to call customer service in order for them to ''TICKET'' my item for shipping.

I think all the items bought around the 6-9th may has been delayed. Seems like they've had a lot of orders around that time, since it was right after the price increase so they had a bit more stock in. I ordered items on the 6th, 7th and 8th of may and some of them has shipped and are arriving today while another one of them is coming next week. Meanwhile my order pre-increase took 3 days in total from ordering to arriving.

Hallo, I can answer this for you. Yes it is normal. Only the left buttons moves, the right one is fixed. With one move, the clasp should be smoothly open.
Yes, thats the way it should be
Please don't accept faulty work because you've had a long wait finding this bag. I think many people do this which allows LV to continually get away with producing shoddy work and bad quality items. LV know this faulty work will be accepted due to scarcity of the bag all of which they do on purpose. The PM has had notoriously bad press for its issues with glazing, cracking and snap closure not sitting straight, all of which LV are aware of. I was only on this forum for 9 days before I finally scored a Multi Pochette Accessoires an extremely hard to find item. Prior to being here I'd been trying to get it for months online and in store with no luck. Check out the other thread, look at the stalking advice and times, and you'll definitely get another one. You can return the one you have and hopefully get one you're truly happy with. You shouldn't settle for less than that!
Thank you ladies for all your replies!!!
I was able to purchase another Métis today morning earlier.
I tried, it was available, therefore I pulled the trigger.
Now I’m curious to see, how it would be the new one, if with quality issues or perfect. In any case I will keep one between the two, because I don’t want to start an never ending story.
Let’s see and hope.
I informed myself in these days and I read a lot about the quality lack that many brands nowadays have.
This made me think a lot...
You are right bigverne28: we work hard, we spend good money, therefore also the product has to be good. It doesn’t matter if it’s LV, Chanel or whatever. As consumers we have the power and we have to pretend good quality.

No, I don't. I've always found that really unusual on the US thread. The LV here is rarely busy enough for appointments, that usually only happens around Christmas. I general just walk in and am served straight away. I don't know if they wait list (probably not in the high enough spend category) but you can preorder if it's open with any SA.

Great news! So glad you managed to purchase another one. Update us on how you get on.

For me, I definitely have a fabulous SA and I’m glad I have a relationship with her. She’s also my mother’s SA - my mother started buying from her around 15 years ago when she was still a regular member of staff and since then she’s worked her way up to become a team lead and now is also my SA.

She always puts the HTF and limited edition pieces aside as soon as she gets her hands on them. Some examples - she was able to get the Palm Springs mini as soon as it came out, I only had to way a matter of days for her to get the multi pochette accessories (and this was at the end of last year pretty much at the peak of the hype), but I definitely think it helps, at least for me.

When stalking the website just doesn’t do it for me, I drop her a message on WhatsApp to see if she can get it and pretty much every single time she has delivered, so I’m really grateful to have her

I don't have any relationship with an SA, as trying to get one of the London stores is never easy. I just buy online. Only time I go in store is if I have a repair.

I live way too far from a store to be able to get to know a SA well enough to be able to gain from it. There's only one store in Sweden (in Stockholm) and it's a 7-8h drive away from where I live. I only get items through the website or through random stores whenever I travel somewhere (without making appointments). I also feel like I don't really need one since I don't have a desire to get my hands on items as soon as they're released nor do I buy enough to actually need assistence in requiring items
I've been able to get HTF items (Xmas collection SLGs, Nano Speedy, Favourite mm etc.) online, even before people who have had a SA help them have gotten theirs. Maybe if you're interested in items that are actually limited edition, as in only a very small limited quantity was made, it's benefitial to have a SA because those items aren't released online. If it's "limited edition" as in e.g. the Escale collection then you can just get items online after a bit of stalking

Thank you for all the answers to the LV SA question!
I feel more taken seriously in LV stores when I have an appointment and my SA held back a bag for me once for an appointment (I live 2 1/2 hours away and she knows I dont want to come if theres no chance of getting what I want). I also feel the waitlist for PM reverse was offered to me because I had bought multiple items with this one SA.

Now this is a different story at CHANEL isn‘t it!?
I haven‘t been to stores often and I only bought something twice and only last time was I offered a card and contact details- which is great since I plan to buy my first bag rather sooner than later (thanks to the price increases :panic:)

BUT aren't you completely relying on what the SA shows you/brings out?! The website doesn't show even half the available items and you rely on the favor of the SA to show you. Since I only bought two SLGs I don't have a huge purchase history and I am afraid of not being shown everything, or even denied a new untouched bag from the storage and not the display item  is that silly?
