LV and the quality

Question about LV quality:
I just made my first ever LV purchase and decided to go pre-loved through one of the top reputable luxury goods resellers who authenticate on the front end. I chose pre-loved as an intro to the LV brand to see if I like it and settled on a Pochette Accessories in the iconic monogram canvas. This particular bag was made in France in 2001.

Upon receiving it, I was shocked (dismayed really) at how light weight and chintzy the bag is, almost to the point of wondering if indeed it is fake or wondering if this is how the LV monogram canvas bags and hardware are supposed to feel? Granted there's not much to this particular style of LV bag, but for the price I expected a bit more heft. Again, this is my intro to LV. I've never even handled one prior to this. I trust the reseller and know they have dedicated LV authenticators handling LV bags all day so they would definitely know fake from real.

I'm used to hauling around hefty bullet-proof vintage Coach leather purses for many years now and guess I'm having a hard time justifying the prices of LV canvas bags for what you get. I'm wondering what other people's LV monogram canvas experiences have been? Thanks.
If you are disappointed with the quality of your vintage LV, wait till you see the ones in store now....

I just made my first LV purchase of a Mini Pochette online to go in my Chanel Mini - it has arrived but the stitching on the tab looks awful :-/ Please can anyone help advise me if this normal? I'm so disappointed :( Thank you so much for your help! ImageUploadedByPurseForum1462361691.839013.jpg

I don't think it looks bad at all. All of my pochettes look like that on the underside. It isn't a quality issue - the tab isn't going to break down or anything.

Hey!

I have the Compact Curieuse wallet with Empreinte leather and in color Terre. Does anyone have the same problem as I do; the round shaped little piece of leather under the snap has began to unravel from the edges.. so it's not smooth and even anymore, it has these little pieces of leather (almost as thin as sewing thread) sticking out.. The wallet is just 9months old. Don't have this problem for example with my empreinte cles. What do you think I should do?

Thanks xoxo

A little update : I didnt wear the bag since I got it back. I took it out today to put my things in and discovered that the other corners had the same problem, which was not the case when I took it back from the store. So I brought it back, they're sending it again. The SA I talked to agreed with me that such things shouldn't occur in a so short window (purchased in the end of february). She asked them to change the bottom of the bag, as she thinks there is a problem. I will see what they say ...

Hello! I'm new here... I bought the adele compact wallet in February/March and noticed a very small crack in the leather where the stitching for the inside pocket is. From a distance, it is not noticeable at all. Is this normal and something I should be concerned about? I know LV has good customer service (this is my first issue) but this is so small I don't know if they would do anything (or could do anything but replace this?)

I would love some thoughts and if anyone has seen anything similar with leather. I know canvas can crack, but I've never heard of it in leather. Thanks!

It looks like it's not a crack but rather the leather coating that has been rubbed off. That can easily happen if the item was rubbed against something abrasive or sharp.

I suggest you take it to the store, but be prepared to hear 'normal wear and tear.' Hopefully they will offer a replacement, because that does not look repairable.

Keep us updated!

Thanks so much for the feedback! I'll keep you posted after I take it in. Hopefully they offer a replacement, but if not I can live with it. Just hope it doesn't get worse!

I bought a siena ebene at a local store and my 1st lv purchase, and it has a crooked stitch on both the leather tabs. See attached pic. I really dont mind crooked stitching as long as the bag will last a long time. Will the bag fall apart in the future due to this crooked stitching?
