Its not mine. I think she doesnt use the dustbag all the time

Hard to say about the gray stains without seeing a picture. Perhaps it is just the patina but looks like stains?

Pretty normal in my opinion for it to accumulate dust. If I leave my bag out of its dust bag for a day or two, dust seems to be attracted to it. Using a dust bag will help prolong its life.

In addition, it may help prevent the bag from attracting odours such as cigarette smoke and cooking odours.

I think the quality of vintage LV bags is much nicer than the new ones. I've only bought vintage pieces in the last few years.

It's just sad that i have come to love LVs only this year.. i am planning to buy a pre-owned trevi though, that was bought i think last 2012 (not sure), but even so, my friend tells me that it is poorer in quality compared to her more vintage lv bags.

If i seldom use the lv bags, will it peel? I have plenty of bags, and recently into lvs. Even if i rotate my bags every week, it will take years for me to use one bag again.
You shouldn't have any peeling issues so long as your bag is properly stored in a well-ventilated area and away from direct sunlight or heat sources. It's recommended that you only store your bag in its dust bag, not inside its box, and that you frequently rotate it (take it out, inspect, and then store it again) to inspect for any possible issues as well as to prevent it laying on one side too long which may cause indentations, creasing, etc.

^thanks for the tip.. My place is hot and humid so even though i can avoid keeping it away from direct sunlight, it will still be hot inside my room when im not home. I tried to stuff my lv bag to keep it in shape but the dust bag will no longer fit, so i can no longer cover the entirety of my bag.

Also would you recommend using newspapers to stuff my bag? I cant seem to find base shapers for my trevi, palermo, evora, noe and neo.

I had a monogram totally GM which I literally kept in my dustbag for 4 years, away from direct sunlight and no peeling issues.

I've attached a picture of the MIF tag to show you the beautiful patina (I've now sold it to another home)

IDK, but to me it seems like luxury brands aren't so great about their quality these days compare w/old times. From my collection, Chanel and LV's quality control seems to be at their worst lately, guess it's all the mass produce? Of course the quality of LV and Chanel don't just gone south like Coach, but i do hear more quality issues than before, such as agendas fall apart, bleeding, zipper pull not being centered, Azur print's aren't perfectly mirroir like monos, Chanel custome jewl's stone kept falling off, handle broke, etc..not to mention their repair center is either a hit or miss....
Couldn’t agree more with you.
