LV and the quality

I went into the store not too long ago and was looking for something to purchase. You cant imagine how hard it was for me to find something that was "up to par" to what the LV quality was in the past.

First i looked at a neverfull and noticed the stitching was totally off, i then looked at a palermo and the leather was damaged (sa took it to the back and said that it was unsellable- whoops lol), and then i looked at a vernis alma and there was dust in the varnish or whatever its called! The leather goods manager picked at it and also said it was unsellable- whoops again.

I did find something else later on but its just crazy!

I'd expect that these kind of things would have been found by the quality control person and never allowed to leave the factory. Only things in 'sellable condition' should ever make it into the store!

I know I don't post much here but I love to lurk,Lol Anyways it pains me to know that when I finally save up enough money to buy another Louie it just may fall apart on me!!!!

Gone are the days echoing the following: Great craftmanship, Well made, Last a long time and "getting your money's worth" when you buy LV.

Unfortunately...now when I look thru these threads all I see are posts where ppl's bags ARE falling apart on them or inferior materials being used for the hardware. I think we should start a petition and boycott the company until they take notice of the fact that this is not acceptable.

What do you guys think? Do you think our "lil" input will make a difference? I think we are all getting played and I love LV just like the next person but I would feel horrible if I bought a piece and it come apart at the seams on me. When I'm thinking of buying an older piece instead of "newer" so I can have better quality....it's time to stand up and be heard people!!!!

*Sry for rant and off my soapbox*:p

i m new ti LV but can see that not all LVs are good quality anymore...
wanted to buy speedy azur but after seeing how thin canvas is... changed my mind.
my question to all of you is what LV bags still have amazing quality?

Most of them!! I buy from the epi and vernis lines, but the SC line is also lovely - if money isn't an issue! Honestly, no bag is ever perfect, but if you are unhappy with the canvas bags, then look at the leather lines.

The canvas on my mono Artsy MM feels so much more supple than the canvas on my other bags. The Cabas Mezzo (2011 reissue) is also nicely made but I don't have an older Cabas to reference for comparison.

I really only have a problem with the azur canvas. I've compared my friends older azur speedy with the new ones and I can assure you that the new ones are not as good as the old ones.
Everything else still looks good though.

Just check over the bag and make sure you are 100% happy with the quality :]

ITA! I exchanged my azur speedy for azur artsy. I'm not quite done w/ LV but I am done w/ speedies. The quality is too hit or miss for me.
