HI guys,
My hubby bought a cabas rivington bag. When I open it to use it. It looks like its been used, the stiches on the handle were lose and a piece of leather rip. I bought it to the store where he got it with the reciept to ask for exchange and told them the reason. The SA agree to exchange but some guy came and look and say its been used he can't exchange it. I was fuming mad, I told him this is the reason I'm coming here to complain and exchange the bag. I feel liked I bought it for over $1500 and I got a damage bag. They don't care. I call the customer relation to complain, she say she will look into it and will call back. OMG I honestly now does not like LV there poor customer service and quality. Purseform family please help me what more can I do. Thanks alot.

How soon after you got the bag did you bring it back to the store?

I would go back with your husband and speak to the manager (who is probably the person that refused the return). They need to make it right and you need to fight! Hopefully you will get a response from customer relations; you may have to put it in writing. You can also try returning to another LV store.

@Roey,
When hubby bought the bag, it was sitting in the closet for 5 days, he surprised me and when I open it and noticed its not brand new. Hubby didn't check when he bought it, they just pack it for him. The guy that refused the exchange he's a person that check the bag. I just hope when the customer relation call me back they will do the right thing. Thank you for your advice.

Lv customer service is HORRIBLE and u should fight all the way. It is worst then fighting with the owner of the convenient store. You would
Never think that u are dealing with a luxury company known internationally and to whom u give thousands of dollars. Good
Luck. Don't leave he store without a refund or a new bag.

I hope it works out for you Katy! If you and hubby go in together it may help your position for exchange.

And - this is a last resort - if the store or customer relations refuses to exchange the bag and your hubby paid by credit card, you could file a dispute with your CC company and have a source of recourse.

What?! I must have missed your post before about this story of your Artsy issue...I'm so sorry that this happened to you! It's absolutely OUTRAGEOUS. This happened to a $1,600.00 bag...oh hell to the no! I'm really glad that they compensated you with a gift card for the value of the bag. I'm relieved to hear that they did the right thing for a customer who paid good money. But you shouldn't have had to complain about it. They should have given you the gift card right from the beginning after you showed them the cracks in the bag. And if deodorant does this to a canvas Artsy, what effect might it have on an Empriente Artsy? I shudder to think....Yikes!
Well, low and behold LV did the right thing. My husband was in NY a couple of weeks ago and returned my Artsy and exchanged it for a Sully.....Which in my opinion is not of the same quality as the Artsy....But they actually gave him a gift card for the current price of the Artsy MM (which had gone up significantly since I bought it a year and a half ago)....So, when he exchanged it for the Sully (which was cheaper than the Artsy) I have a credit left on the gift card for $250.00.....What to buy next????

HELP!! NEVERFULL STITCHING QUESTION....

it's been a long journey with my neverfull...and I need some opinions....

My husband bought me my first LV on our honeymoon and it was the neverfull mm in monogram. I absolutely loved it. After using it for about 2 months, I noticed the leather trim on top of the bag was completely scratched up. I babied this bag so much, I couldn't imagine how that could happen. It literally looked like I put it on the back of a car and dragged it across the payment. I brought the bag into a nearby LV store and the manager had never seen anything like it. They immediately sent it out for repair free of charge to replace the trim, which I was pleased with. When the repaired bag came in, it looked great but I couldn't help but keep thinking something was off. Something about the seam in the leather trim kept standing out to me. Finally I looked back at some honeymoon pictures and noticed that my original neverfull had 2 seams on the top trim and my new repair only had one. That really bothered me, since now the bag's integrity was compromised.

So after much deliberation, I went back to the store to talk to the manager. He again agreed, that he never seen a repair come back with only 1 seem and that the trim looked to be slightly thicker than the original, which could have been why I kept noticing it. He said he thought the new trim was repaired well and because it was thicker it would probably hold up better and he suggested I keep it. I however was too bothered by the 1 seam vs. 2 issue (especially with all the fakes floating around out there). So off again the bag went to the repair facility, this time with a note stating I wanted it restored to it's original 2 seams.

After about 4 weeks I received a call that they could not repair the bag to have 2 seams. I put up a fight and they made the decision to give me a replacement neverfull from the store. I was pretty pleased that I would finally have a bag without tear marks and with 2 seams.

The next day I went to the LV store picked up the new bag, did a quick inspection and it seemed fine. After having it home and putting my stuff in, I noticed the inside stitching actually looked very sloppy to me. The outside is 100% impecable (which is why at first glance I thought it was great). But now I'm really bothered by the inside stitching. In places the stitching is crooked and in quite a few places the hole's where the thread goes in atually look like tiny tears in the leather.

I really never inspected my original neverfull this closely, but after reading all the posts and forums, I've become quite an obsesser over the quality of the bag.

Can my fellow monogram neverfull oweners please let me know what the stiching on their inside trim looks like? I don't want to be stupid and bring this bag back YET AGAIN. (especially since both of my bags had my initials hotstamped, so they are personalized).

I would appreciate any and all feedback!

Thank you

I would have kept the repaired one - I agree with your leathergoods manager. That sounded wonderful.

Thank you for the response! It was such a tough decision because although the repair was great, the bag just didn't look the same. Especially when it was next to another mono neverfull, it just seemed incorrect. It might have been the wrong decision on my part, but I always felt the repaired bag should have the same integrity and characteristics of the one we paid for and of all the other neverfulls LV produces.

Hey all. Long rant here.

I'm super irritated right now. I bought the Zippy Coin Purse and Eva Clutch last week. After coming home, I inspected the items and noticed an issue with the brass hardware on the ZCP...it wasn't flush so it felt like it was scratching my finger when I tried to unzip it. Well, I brought it back to LV and since they didn't have another one, I ended up returning it and they put a reservation for another one. I'm waiting for the call when it comes in but with the upcoming price increase, I'm wondering if I will get that call soon or if I should cancel the reservation and just order it online (it is available online).

Now the 2nd issue is with the clutch. I took it out to use for the first time and I didn't notice it before but today I noticed the stitching where it says "Made in USA" (left side of photo) has a broken stitch. It is supposed to be a double stitch and you can see where the 2nd stitch from the bottom left has broken. Now I'm super irritated because I feel the quality sucks and I'm debating just returning it. Only thing is I've been wanting the Eva and a small wallet for months. Did I just have really bad luck or will this be typical with all future purchases? I hate going back every time to complain about something that should be perfect.

I've also attached two more photos of the right and left side of the bag. It didn't bother me before but now that I found the stitching issue, I want your comments on if this is typical of Eva. If you look at where the bag creases at the bottom, the right and left side creases at slightly different areas so it looks a little lopsided when looking straight-on (for an anal retentive person like me anyway). Comments please! Thanks.

About the ZCP maybe you should order one online. If the one in the store comes in after the price increase you'll be stuck with paying the higher price. Don't worry about accidentally getting 2 because you can always return one.

Please bring your Eva back right away! The stitching is unacceptable and I understand what you mean by the side creases. Don't be discouraged but I know it's frustrating. Keep us updated please! :hugs:

I personally find this a bit over the top. You have to understand that these bags are all handmade and there's. Certain type of quality control system that they have. The stitching, I can't really tell from the photo what's wrong with it. One of the stitches of the handle of my Mono Speedy has loosened and it doesn't bother me. As for the crease, definitely normal. No bag will be 100% straight, especially when they're hand made!

As for the ZCP, order it online for sure. Don't wait until the price increase!
