LV and the quality

The zipper pull on my pochette (which I purchased five years ago) and the hardware on my BV (about two years old) have quite a bit of chipping. I'll still buy LV, but I will be a lot more reluctant to buy pieces which have a lot of hardware.

The only issue that I ever had was with my Manhattan Pm. The hardware on one of the front pockets literally fell off within the first month after I got it. LV offered to replace the bag b/c it was a design flaw - which has since been fixed.

I have 2 sangle belts, one black, one white,
well, not any more...
I have only used it 3-4 times, and this occured...
I took them back to the store, and they offered me to buy something else,
which I did.

HOLY CRAP! :wtf: That is TERRIBLE! At least they let you exchange it for something else sheesh!

WOW ...I wonder why this occured? I will have to look at my motard pochette as it has the same clasp. I am glad they resolved this for you.
Issues I have had are hardware missing from my le tal, CB pap and yellowing of my white suhali ... all of my issues were resolved.

I had a problem with my speedy cube mini. One of the letters cracked and it looked like something ripped the letter(it came that way). Since I ordered it from another store I returned it to my local LV..... I also just purchased a Mahina from my local store and didn't take the first one they showed me (brand new not a display model)....... it had brown spots all over it...........all I can say is check the bag before you purchase it........... this sucks bc now I won't order through elux or another store..... can't save tax this way...... but I rather have a perfect bag!

Sorry to read about your mini cube .. did you take a photo of the issue?

whenever i bought a new LV and there'll bound to have minor defect. i always went back for an exchange. my hubby always said i'm super fussy. i think i'm not fussy. i feel that with that kind of price we pay and we should get better quality. isnt it? :cursing:

I took great care of my belts, kept them in the box all the time,
and this only occured when I used them.
It already came after the first time I used it,
and this only got worse each time I used it.So after 3-4 times, after only using the belt on a dress, indoors,I stopped using it.
But the SA in the store was very nice, and I do not want to critizise the service,
they are always nice to me, I think.

it all comes down to quality control and perhaps after the takeover/merger, quality control inspection has gone down. At this point with the high demand for LV products, its a shame that quality is not priority #1, but more of get the product out the door to the consumer.

When i bought my first LV item in Aug this year, pocket organizer for my wallet. After 4 wks of use, the trim/molding started to come apart where the wallet folds over. Went back and got it exchanged for another new one. One SA said it will happen with use over time. But 4 wks, no, it was defective. The replacement i have for 3 weeks now is fine. Makes me take a step back to see if i should be spending $$$ for something where quality control has gone down.

HAAHAH oh man. I was like that with my Apple products - Macbook and iPhone. It was such a hassle though. I'd find something wrong, try to return, and each store would tell me something different so I'd have to go find a store that would actually do the return/exchange. I sort of dropped that for LV, but maybe I should if I find something wrong next time :push:

The same thing is happening to my bf's and my wallet too! He's had his since... September 2007, and I've had mine since December 2007. Should we take them back too??

ha! i guess most of the SA from all the LV stores known me as "a super fussy customer"! :graucho: anyway, i cant bother so much. if i'm unhappy with the quality and its my rights to exchange.

in july i bought my denim neo cabby and after first use, the denim rubbed off on the vachetta piping. good thing the color transfer came off with a white pencil eraser. but so disappointing that this happened in the first place. considering i paid so much for the bag.

I just bought an insolite wallet and found that one of the credit card slots is not cut evenly. I tried exchanging one, but can't find one in any of the local stores that is perfect. Not sure what I'm going to do...
