I have 2 sangle belts, one black, one white,
well, not any more...
I have only used it 3-4 times, and this occured...
I took them back to the store, and they offered me to buy something else,
which I did.

My motard pochette hardware has some small brown marks on it like on your belt ...I hope it doesn't spread and end up like your belt:sad:

ha! i guess most of the SA from all the LV stores known me as "a super fussy customer"! :graucho: anyway, i cant bother so much. if i'm unhappy with the quality and its my rights to exchange.

that the way to go! btw do they teach u the proper ways of using the bags since u have a high hit rate of going back to change the bags...

coz that what happened to me! they told me that they are going to teach me the proper way to handle the Damier Graphite Jorn Bag!! :cursing:

I'm currently thinking of purchasing my very first LV bag and wallet, but after reading the problems that everyone in here has had or is having, I think I'm going to spend my AUD$4,500 on some other brand which still makes good quality products, for the money that I'm about to spend. This puts me off buying LV. We should get what we pay for! I hope LV will lose a lot of customers in the future due to this!

Today I accompanied my friend to LV to help her choose her first Vuitton item !! She was so excited !!

She finally decided on the Vernis heart coin purse in Pomme. A great choice, I think!

Anyway, as she was inspecting it, there was a lot of black marks at the top where the zipper is, so I asked the SA to bring out all of their stock (they only had 4).

The first one had a hard-to-use zipper. The second one had some faulty stitching !!!! The third one's LV logo wasn't embossed that deeply. The fourth one's color was just .... strange.

She ended up buying the one that was used as a 'display' item inside the glass case in the store.

Though I can tell she was very disappointed with LV's quality.

I have to agree that it has gone down. When I purchased my damier Eva, you could see the red lining peeking out for all 4 corners. It bothered me so much that I went back to exchange it. They showed me 3 other bags and they all had the red peeking---except for the display model. That one was perfect with no red peeking out but the Inventeur plate was lightly scratched from all the handling. I decided to get the one on display because I felt that sooner or later the plate would have been scratched anyway and the scratched plate bothered me less than the red peeking out.

When i bought my first LV item in Aug this year, pocket organizer for my wallet. After 4 wks of use, the trim/molding started to come apart where the wallet folds over. Went back and got it exchanged for another new one. One SA said it will happen with use over time. But 4 wks, no, it was defective. The replacement i have for 3 weeks now is fine. Makes me take a step back to see if i should be spending $$$ for something where quality control has gone down.

This same thing happened to me. The SA only offered to send it in for re-glazing, which is what I guess I will do, but I would have preferred getting a new one =(

This is so sad. People wonder why others carry fake LV. Why pay so much for the real deal when the quality is sub-par. Unfortunely, I'll spend my money on another designer who uses stricter quality control. Sorry to hear all of your horror stories!!!

i purchased a pochette accessoires in 2004..to date the zipper pull have already tarnished and chipped off on the sides..I used to wear this alot during nightouts and probably the perfume, lotion wateva on my hand causes chemical reaction on the metal. It doesn't bother me before but lately, i wanted to wear it again and its bothering me so much..

does any of you have the same zip pull problem with your pochette accessoires? how much is the zip pull at LV store?

Yes bought brand new from the store and the handles of my speedy were diff colour than the rest of the vachetta on the bag. Didn't notice till i got home and never thought I could go in to do an exchange :(
Now trying to find a product to "tan" the leather...so it has that honey patina colour...

I was looking at the damier graphite belts at a boutique, the one with the silver brass LV buckle and they had a few of these "rust spots" already. All of them either looked tarnished or had these spots! When I asked the SA, she was speechless and in the end, said it was "normal".

I didn't get anything in the end.. Probably will look into the Reversible one then, or Hermes.

Gawd, this looks bad. This spotting does happen to brass hardware on my LV bags due to the humid weather here.

I use silver cloth to polish them off. Surprisingly, it works.

Good to know that the store allowed you to exchange the belts for something else.

they will replace my zipper pull for free..Amazing huh?...It's gonna be in store so I just have to wait for 1-2weeks..

BTW, the speedy prices went down by $10...I'm now a loser of $10  They say its the first time and has something to do with currency adjustments..and nothin to do with quality downgrade:confused1:

LV is definitely better than Gucci but Chanel is far better than LV. I have been very disappointed with my LV's( I have 6- peeling, discoloration-most are new within 3-7 years of age and I hardly use them) but so far have been extremely happy with my Chanels (I have three-6-18 years of age). I have had two LV's repaired (one zipper tab for my large looping-7 years old- wearing thin and slipping off-cost $35, one is zipper replacement for my Luco-5 years old--cost $90- and about to need replacement for my rolled handles of an epi sablon-only 4 years old-probably will cost around $150 plus tax!!!!)

I agree that LV quality has gone down significantly in the recent years. I have had a lot of problems with my newer ones , less than 8 years, such as zipper tab wearing thin and slipping off, zipper getting stuck, and leather burn/ discoloration/peeling, whatever you want to call it, on rolled handles of the epi and damier ebene, unfortunately!
