Thanks!! I see this was posted on the Speedy 20 DE thread too. I appreciate the AUD clarification because I had sticker shock thinking that was USD!

Would not bother me but everyone is different!Sorry I forgot to add the pic.
Maybe it's the lighting angle but I can't believe how dark the Speedy is here! I like it like that. But I don't mind the pale.silver either. I'm not gonna buy so.am enjoying the eye candyThere is an incredible amount of variability within the monoglam collection. I found all versions quite beautiful but gravitated toward the shimmer on a mid-tone. I was lucky to be able to choose from a variety of pieces. To me there is a plastic feel that I don’t find off putting at all. It feels durable and that reassures me that the rainbow/mermaid effect will be preserved.

Until I saw them next to each other I wondered if it was the lighting too but they truly are VERY different. I wish I’d taken a video. The Neverfull had way more painted on silver threads than the Speedy. I’d have preferred the darker tone of the Speedy if not for that but without as much of the silver it was missing the shimmer.Maybe it

That's a very big difference in tone. There is only a single display piece each in 2 stores in my city, so I'll not be able to compare. Most likely will have to buy online.
Just so I know which I might prefer, do you find any difference in the iridescent effect between the darker and lighter shades? Is the effect coming from the white parts of the material, or from the laminated layer?
Thank you! I can definitely see that the lighter parts are reflecting the iridescent effect. Now I'm really torn. I prefer the darker shade but also want to maximise the shimmer. A mid-tone, like you said, would be perfect. This is annoying, I'll have to check out the singular display pieces in-store to decide.Until I saw them next to each other I wondered if it was the lighting too but they truly are VERY different. The iridescence was more noticeable in the lighter/more silvery shades. I think most of the effect comes from the white parts of the material but the laminated layer might have a tiny bit of effect as well. Here’s some close ups to show you what I mean.

Yes, the mid tone definitely is the way to go. Thanks for the pics. There is an incredible amount of variability within the monoglam collection. The bright pink is very pretty irl!! Any issues? The leather is supposed to be more “wrinkly” than the usual? Is it because it’s lamb skin or something more delicate kind?My Alma BB is here, very hard to spell the name Broderie Anglaise ??

I don’t think it’s lamb skin, the leather is wrinkled because they didn’t put any stuffing while transporting the bag, I’m going to stuff it and observe, hopefully it will become a bit smootherThe bright pink is very pretty irl!!
